Dismal Science, easy to comprehend., 31 Mar 2011
This is a very good Economics book. What initially endeared me to it was the fact that it was written by The Economics newspaper US Economics editor, Greg Ip.
The book is actually targeted at the "layman" who may not fully understand what the subject is all about and may have been put off from seeking to know more about it because of its perceived complexities and jargon. However, it is also a good read for those who are "accomplished" as Economists in their professional lives. It actually explains clearly, how economic policies made by the government influences our day-to-day lives, why some countries are richer or poorer than others and the sorts of factors that could trigger another crisis like the one we just witnessed.
I studied Economics at graduate and post-graduate levels and the book allows me view some of the subject's concepts through a different lens. I recommend to all and sundry!!!
