First impressions on getting this out of the box were that it looked good, with an interesting design.
I was concerned about how it would look as the one I ordered was called 'blue', but the overall colour of the case was grey with the blue being behind the mesh/holes. Overall it looks good, and did not look out of place in any room I tried it in.

Next up is the setup of the device. As it was airplay enabled I decided to set it up using the app that is available.
This proved to be very easy and straightforward, in less than five minutes I had it setup on my wifi network with a suitable device name.
The process was very clear and easy to follow.
My only criticism would be that the quick start guide does not describe the buttons and LED colours in detail, and for each meaning you have read all sections of the guide, I expected a table listing LED's and what the colours mean.
But, that's a small point as set up was so easy.

Now onto the sound quality.
I have tried this in my living room and dining room, and tried it on mains and on battery. In all cases the sound was superb.
The clarity of the sound was excellent, with lots of detail. Whether at high or low volumes the detail on the sound was excellent with no distortion.
I tried a range of music from classical, pop, rock and heavy metal and in all cases I thought the sound was just as excellent. My family agreed and the general consensus was that his speaker sounded as good as any airplay speaker we had tried, and was indeed better than many stereos/hifi's.
Considering its compact size the stereo sound was not compromised, and gave good results.

If I compare this to my Bowers & Wilkins A5 bought recently it compares very well, and has an equally good sound.

This is an airplay speaker I would easily recommend, and the 3.5mm input and battery power just make it even more useful and flexible.
The only downside would be the cost, it is expensive, but given the sound quality I will forgive this price tag.

I go this to replace an old iPod classic that had died.
It's a great iPod and the user interface is very easy to use.
The 64GB capacity means I can have all my music loaded all the time.
Wireless capabilities mean its a great companion to my wireless airplay speakers and Apple TV.
All in all an easily recommended iPod.

I got this to replace my broken Bose Soundock and wanted something that supported AirPlay.

The A5 was a breeze to setup, and app on my iPad had it configured and ready to use in just a few minutes.
Connecting to it from an iPad, iPod or iPhone is simple and connections were made in a few seconds.
The sound is superb and has good detail, volume is more than I will need.
I have listened to a wide range of music and also used it to listen to TV and film, and I have always been pleased with the results.
After 2 months of use I am very pleased I chose this model.

I would definitely recommend this wireless speaker, it's not cheap but it is very good.

This was an interesting read on project OXCART.
It's probably only for people with an interest in project OXCART and its links to the CIA.

This is is a classic adventure story by Jerry Ahern.
It's a very easy read and the action is pretty much non stop.
I first read this book many years ago, and it was great to be able to enjoy it on my Kindle.
If you like a bit of adventure and are looking for a nice easy read then give this a go.

I enjoyed this story, whilst not very long it is. Well written story that is definitely in the same vein as the TV stories.
The reading was good and gave the story a good feel.
This is definitely an audiobook that I would recommend to any Doctor Who fan.

I got this coat for my wife, and thought it best for her to give the feedback, so here is her review...

"I am very pleased with this coat. It fits beautifully and looks very flattering, I had some admiring comments from my colleagues when I wore it for the first time. The coat is wind proof and warm and the hand covers mean that your wrists are kept nice and cosy. There are lots of pockets and the hood stays on securely in the wind."

And I would add that it looks very good on her, and seems to be very well made.
Definitely a jacket we would recommend.

I found it easy to understand but there were a lot of different elements from different game formats integrated together. This meant that you needed previous knowledge of other games to get the most out of it. It is not a game for the inexperienced or children.
It is a different gaming experience for those that enjoy games.

It was a fun way of learning numbers with great illustrations.
The best accolade though would probably be that my nephew enjoyed going through the book with me, and wanted it again and again.

These batteries got used in Xbox controllers and gave a decent duration of operation.
Having usually used Duracell batteries I was pleasantly surprised by how good these seemed.
I would use them again.
