5.0 out of 5 stars Had this a couple of years now - great shower head, 10 April 2015
Had this a couple of years now - great shower head. Tested when we got it and it saves lots of water and so lots of heat and it gives a great shower. What more do people want? From reading other reviews it won't work miracles if you've low water pressure .....but surely that's obvious?

1.0 out of 5 stars After week of a strong TCP smell in the house ..., 4 April 2015
After week of a strong TCP smell in the house that had us completely bemused.......... We couldn't fathom it till the missus looked up - 8 of the diodes had burnt out and the bulb and its casing was very, very hot (the cause of the smell) and the glass cover of the bulb had been burnt onto by the heat. Other reviewers have had the same, (see their images). Please don't buy these - they are a real safety hazard.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fine whilst it lasted - but lasted less than 9 ..., 19 Dec. 2014

Fine whilst it lasted - but lasted less than 9 months - flickered then died. It seems the old adages are true - the philips equivalents put in at the same time and at twice the price have behaved perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, 28 Oct. 2014
Interesting to see such a polarisation in reviews. I found this film stunning visually and emotionally very moving - I couldn't ask more from a film. Yes, gravity itself turns up for no particular reason in a couple of wrong places and the science in places is more than dodgy but I'm not watching a documentary and it was great to see it being used to float George away because he was getting to be annoying ..... . The sound track is astonishing, the visuals absolutely breathtaking. I loved the use of silence between the walls of noise and although the story was formulaic it was a very fresh take. No idea how it could be panned by so many. Loved it.

1.0 out of 5 stars What are you trying to secure?, 3 Aug. 2014
These locks can be forced very, very easily without even thinking about working out the combination and can be cut with the cheapest of cutters - other reviewer have mentioned it - I have experienced it and it's not a huge amount of fun.
Buy something from a branded make that is made of quality materials and design - think about the maths. Is a £5 lock (with a hefty profit margin) your valuables, whatever they may be are worth?

5.0 out of 5 stars Brambles prepare to meet thy doom, 17 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
An amazing device - this has been busily being set to work chewing effortlessly through my vast bramble patches, some of which have stems at lest an inch in diameter. The long reach enables the early attacks to be made and once in this little beast of wonder makes mincemeat (metaphorically) of the swines. I'm amazed at both the power and life that the battery provides (well over an hour of continuous chewing). I originally got this to keep my cotoneaster hedge and buddleia at bay but it is it's bramble devouring skills that are to be worshipped. Rejoice in technology and the power of the lithium battery. What times whe live in.

5.0 out of 5 stars and the clouds lift....., 9 Oct. 2013

After a decade of dipping in and out of the wall of noise that made the original such a beast to handle here we have, 'as if by magic' (though I'm sure a huge amount of hours were put into this) a crystal clear, mush free version. Still with oodles of power, I would actually say more power, the key point is it's now listenable to when your not in a beast head of a mood and it sounds..... so well....... so bloody wonderful. There's something at times painfully joyful that comes out of this remix that was just lost in the original 'monster'. Possibly the original thrash mix was right for the band then and this mix now? - it really is like a new album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange times - but just download it., 8 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There's something magical about this version of the cycle, hence a 'Penguin Guide' key recording being awarded to it. Kempff's versions just reaches out to the listener and I feel like I'm discovering these works afresh. Amazing music performed sublimely and the recording quality is pretty darn good too. A real no brainer of a download at this ridiculously low price. Reading the discussions about this ludicrously cheap collection, DG wont be happy but I'm sure it's all legal and I'm sure the last 50 odd years of selling the cycle for £50 has more than paid off their production costs.

Goodness me. I've not listened to Butterworth's songs for a couple of decades and I stumble upon this gem and kick myself for what i've been missing. This is indeed high, high beauty, the songs are so perfectly rendered, the diction and delivery of voice and piano quite wonderful. I guess I've nothing really to add to previous reviews but i write anyway as this recording just deserves to be listened too. I do agree completely that the reverb on the voice is a bit too much and as a result renders the delivery a little cold, it might not even be reverb, just recorded in an echoey place (i've only the MP3 download so miss out on the sleeve notes) but the warmth of the voice and the passion in the delivery wins it back and a lot lot more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lovely images - CBBC voice over, 9 Jun. 2012
This review is from: Great Rift [DVD] (DVD)
Can't grumble about the cinematography which is simply stunning at times but who wrote this script? Anthromorphic dross, and scientifically incorrect drivel - beginning within the first sentences of the series with a claim that some baboons in ethiopia live higher than any other primate in the world ....well how about good old Homo sapiens in the Himalayas ????? and continuing with the same poorly researched/dumbed down drivel placing human emotions onto just about anything that has legs. If only there was an option to turn off the voiceover.
