5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic make up since 2001, 17 Sep 2011
This review is from: Twisted Tenderness (Audio CD)
As an old happy customer to The Smiths and New Order I really like my wake-up-station on Electronic 3 rds album... the first three tracks are onto... but I almost need a line... I really love this album to the end, too!!!
If I had a Blue Monday, I let it down the first three tracks to the end. Then I am free for an opening day. Try TOO!!!

I can`t stand this Album doesn`t sold 5 Millions... The half on the cause of New Order and The Smiths, so I really can`t stand how this Album doesn`t sold 2.5 Millions...

sounds free and dry on the first try, but get`s deep after a few go ins...

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop NRG-nation 08/2011, 12 Aug 2011
One of my fave DVD`S. I saw the Mondays live more than a handfull times in the 90`s ( and sorrow never in the 80`s ) . This is a semi-ridicilous - re-entry on the good old stuff and I like it very much.
Not only as an old Factory-records.fashioner... I love all that is around in and against Shaun Ryder.... He is the man for all of that kind...
And I think he is a man for the Government ; in German we would say : Schlichter. And on that way he stood at the front inj barcelona with phenomenal support. I like it how it sounds; happy mondays as nearly 10 futurists. DJ Poss-set was parallel in the line, drummer , bass and guit.arrangement really nice!!!

Think again bout the stones-sequence in Mad Cyrill... if the Stones should like to be dead: who is arround left ?

SHAUN RYDER of course!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice compositions , but..., 27 July 2011
This review is from: Laugh (Audio CD)
... Tony Wilson had other problems those days like bringing this in elegant ways.

This is one of the last productions from the Original factory-lable ( Joy Division.New Order/ Happy Mondays / Durutti Column /Section 25 ... ).

The tracks are good enough to run, the Babies were good enough for a part on stage ( see: Cities In The Park ). But sorry: This Album failed in the handling. Sounds without no aim. Others were better as " Take That " 18 months later...

Today it sound a bit like the Farm of Michael Landon. If only they had to arrange that with the help of Ian Broudie, he produced Northside and The Wendys for factory before. With a specialized for trumpets or a Fairlight-trompie--- Factory would have been never bankrupted!!!

yes, this one failed. But it belongs to the end of the Factory story.

Compositions really good. re-call: Barking Mad, Winter Plume, Captain Scarlett ( available on Cities in the Park -film ), Adventure Baby and of course: MY YESTERDAY...

4.0 out of 5 stars Ultra-V but not VOX, 19 July 2011
This review is from: Live in Italy (Audio CD)
This is a smart scene from Italy. Nice sounds and a few tracks from the Ultra-V from the 90`s. But this is not full Ultravox, but believable for Ultra-fans. Stuff for the evennings you can't find another Ultravox-publish anymore. Because the story ends in 1984; this is an afterburner with only one member from the 80`s Ultravox, Billy Currie. He should have been take another name for this project, because the sound is acceeptable and the composition nice in many ways. Except the re-play of the Ultravox 80-84; this is not what you want, I think. Take the other ones...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Rest of Joy Division, 7 July 2011
The film " Control " by Anton Corbijn showed, you can play those tracks as an average musician--if you have enough heartblood. The Peter Hook-band " The Light " has enough heartblood playing the songs in a special way. This is the first official Album; well-only Peter Hook have the condition singing these tracks for eternal...
Parallel Lines to Pink Floyd: Roger Waters was the only one to bring the story 1979 to the Final Cut on stage ( within his Hitchcock-album 1984 )... only Roger Waters can really show The Wall. There were judgement disorders of blood&honour; a thing , the good old Joy Division boys never followed! Pink Floyd took their only trademark because of money ( so I call the PF"Money -track " as essential ).

Joy Division never made anything on the presence of money! They lost the Warsaw sign beeing Joy Division in 1978 ( this CD inhoulds 2 Warsaw-tracks ! ). After 1805 they went on as " New Order ". In the late Millenium Peter Hook took an AS and started beeing part of the old story... New Order went on without judgement prejedice as " Bad Lieutenant ".

Hookey made what noticed as " Suffer Well ". The re-start of Joy Division. It would be " The rest of Joy Division forever "; only if one oft the last 3 sold out songs ! But if you take a look : Bernard Sumner sings " She `s lost control "; it is similar like David Gilmour is having an accident on " Another brick in the Wall ". Only Hookey can take part in as a lead singer, I think.

Great hope is, would be giving a new " Retro-Joy Division "- concert-series with Sumner on guit. and Morris on dr. The band " The Light " is really good, but one can`t find the original touch ( is hidden in " Can `t find my way home " by Electronic, haha ).

Wasn`t it a signal Hookey has arranged an extra-Bass-player ?

Would be important the 3 would established as Joy Division again ( following the footsteps of the 3 Depeche Mode ) presenting Peter Hook as the singer of Joy Division. Playing all the good old tracks include Movement. And make 2 new Albums on that style for THE ETERNAL!!!

New Order is dead-- LONG LIVE JOY DIVISION!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Town Everest, 27 Jun 2011
Manchester 1991 was a small town for the re-public world. This one never changed it in any way; but for my European Opinion as a German left behind: There was the Happy Mondays line in America " The white Americans had forgotten how to dance ". This is a great style for my opinion, only the Great North in Gb and East-Germans can do this one in a public way...
All Around is the Factory still intact or not...
The Wilson-factory is a thing worth open for a Million Years, and Cities in the Park was a part of it.
Look down all Festivals: It`s not on music. It`s on selling caps and rotty items...

... for those another new Best of to be served on the rocks! Fact is: The sound is great and the price is low.
My heart misses two tracks on this fortune: Quincy Jones for president. Money in the same order Pink Floyd had to run away...
Take this pure on loud in the Stadium of your hometown !!!

Body Exit Mind
Body Exit Mind

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the Masterpiece of NFAD, 9 Jun 2011
This review is from: Body Exit Mind (Audio CD)
I could fill a book with hearing-instructions of this Album... but I like to take it short this time:
Take the last Piece, the 8 minute long song called " Music " with the Epilogue " Exit Body, Exit Mind ". Close your eyes and think about... This everything could have been sung by Ian Curtis; he shouldn`t had to loose any ability on doing this at the start of the 90`s. But it came wrong...
