5.0 out of 5 stars Calling spiritual people, 6 Jun. 2013
This review is from: The Fire Within (Kindle Edition)
My cousin wrote this from his own life experiences. His spelling and grammar are not great but his message is. If you are religious and spiritual or enjoy journey's of self-discovery then you should take a look at this tale.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money, 20 Nov. 2011
I'd previously used recycled ink cartridges and it was fine so I hadn't expected to have any trouble - how wrong I was! I bought two inks - the first ran out almost instantly after some very streaky printing so I shrugged and wondered if it was a fluke or my printer & put the second one in - the first three pages were good then it started to streak again before (you guessed it) running out. Once again I went through the rigmarole of running printer calibration tests to no avail & decided the only true test would be to get an original hp ink & see if it was a fault with my printer. It wasn't. So don't buy these inks - they are a waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Short Story, 7 Mar. 2011
Not only is this actually a really short story (apparently all 24 of those in the Midsummer Nights Steam series are short) but 50% of this was taken up with adverts! (Mostly for the other 23 short stories in the series!) I guess if you like short stories and are expecting it, it's not so bad, but I got this based on an ad at the back of another ebook (California Cowboy) and from that to getting this was a real disappointment - hence the review to warn others from making similar mistakes.

I love everything about the Miles Vorkosigan series and this prelude tells the story of Miles' birth and the events that lead to his unusual development. Fantastic.Barrayar (Vorkosigan)Barrayar (Vorkosigan)

While it is a pretty necklace it is considerably smaller than the photograph would lead you to believe and the chain was very very thin! Okay for price and beauty but misleading image given.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring, 4 Dec. 2009
I have read all of the Long Tall Texans and I generally enjoy even the weaker entries as part of the overall series. However this was ridiculously boring and I must admit to considerable disappointment. This felt more like an introduction to the forthcoming Kilraven book than a tale in it's own right. They met, they fell in love, they married, the end. Where was the conflict? The drama? The whole romance felt like it was "oh well we want to sleep together, we better wed" and so they pretend to an emotion that feels lacklustre anyway.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay, 17 Aug. 2009
It's an okay book, not the best of Palmer but not the worst. Made a bit of a change from most Palmers as she was previously married (though of course it was an abusive marriage) and initially I thought it had been a happy one. Basically just a book for the complete collection not the wonderful story
