5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastical!, 4 Mar 2006
This review is from: Boy With the X Ray Eyes (Audio CD)
This album is amazing. A bit of a guilty pleasure as this album was indeed a flop, I dont know why though.
Electro rock, metal, Bangra flavour, Its has a huge range of
styles and really never gets borring. One of the best albums I own and I remember when i was a Kid I had the cassette and would play it constantly. Dont be fooled by other peoples shallow views on this album or the band in general, buy it, you wont be dissapointed. It might take a while to grow on you, that is true, but it really is very thoughtful music and the lyrics are quite something. alot of society's problems explained and mimic'ed on alot of the songs. I think probably the worst track has to be spaceman....and even that is a timeless classic.
I wont say anymore, but do your CD collection a favour and buy this one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting, 12 Sep 2005

Well a great soundtrack to match a great film. A very eclactic range of music here, From Zombie's own spooky tracks to classics from Buck owens ect. The little snippets of Scott Humphry's score
are a very nice touch and kind of 'round off' the album in general. If you like the film then you will like the music, thus you will like this album..........and if your just a Zombie fan, buy the album because it has otherwise unrealsed tracks of his that are great and make this almost another one of his albums in general.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, Simply Brilliant, 12 Sep 2005
This review is from: Mr Bungle (Audio CD)
Mr Bungle's Debut album is a great rollercoaster ride of music, strange noises, heavy rock and of course Patton's trade mark vocal acrobatics. I loved it. Listening to the demo's of this album you can see the vision they had and pretty much executed it to the extreme in a great 'hello' to the world of music.
The tracks that stand out in my mind are 'Girls of porn' with its peverted lyrics and funky tune, 'Carousel' with its demented and crazy carn-evil feel to it, drwaing all kinds of visions and thoughts in my head, and last but not least 'Quote UnQuote' which is really a very interesting and somewhat creepy track. The rest of the tracks are amazing too and as any Bungle fan would feel the same, I'm sure you will love it.
Its a far cry from Fantomas and Tomahawk or even FNM, but still a very large peice of Pattonasia, and my personal favourate.

This is a great album for either a die hard Doors fan, or someone like me, who just wanted the bare essentials,
This has got all there best tracks, 'light my fire', 'people are strange' and my personal favourate 'riders on the storm'.
Exellent album, well worth the money.
