5.0 out of 5 stars Slick, Solid, reliable and great Range Plus it Never Needs to be Rebooted!, 4 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I won't go into the specs or the fact it doesnt have an ADSL modem built in - because all the other reviews say this kind of information. What I will say is that I have bought literally hundreds of routers over the past 15 years, with ADSL, without, for home, for businesses and all seem to need to be rebooted anywhere between daily and monthly - this is the first router I have ever owned which just keeps on trucking. I have had it for a year and only turned it off once to move it - and it gets a lot of throughput - streaming from local network 720p and 1080p movies, Netflix, a family of 5 all with laptops and mobile devices, xbox, playstation, the works.

Great reception around a large house with thick brick walls. It is so reliable I actually forgot where it was. Setup is easy - plug in the ethernet cable to a PC and call up 192.168.1.1 in your browser - use the usual admin/admin login/password.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST and Only Business book you need to read!, 4 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Chet is a Genius - no questions asked. The book covers everything you need to know to turn your company into a sales machine. From the opening time-management section through to the dream clients - everything is clearly explained with examples. In one of these type of books you hope to get at least 1 "Eureka" moment - I had so many "Eureka" moments reading this book it was crazy and I have been in business quite a long time. This is my new Bible - and though i am loathed to share it or encourage people to read it so that I can keep Chet all to myself, it seems only fair to review his book and say how amazing it is!

I should mention I bought this book thinking it would be about building a successful sales team - which it is - but that is only a small part of it - there is also so much more. If you only buy one book on how to run a successful business - buy this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Basic and Unrealistic $10,000 for a logo in the 21st Century!?, 4 Dec. 2013
This book is very basic - the majority of it is a story about a guy who owns an advertising agency and how he is advised each week to change it from a service company to a product based company by specialising in one area of advertising ... specifically logo design. So the guys puts together a "proprietary" 5 step logo creation process ... which amounts to listing the 5 steps of creating a logo - draw it, show it, revise it, show it, colour it. The story goes on to tell the story of a sales team selling "logo design" to 1 company per week per sales person and charging $10,000 a logo. All the figures about the company are based on this - profit, turn over and ultimately how much he sells his fictitious company for.

Each piece of the authors "mentoring advice" unsurprisingly works amazingly well for the books hero! He has the worst staff to start with and by the end has the perfect team - which magically just happens after he fires the bad people. He literally has no sales people at the beginning but is turning over $1.4 million through his own sales - then gets the expert advice to hire some sales people?! Genius!

The $10,000 per logo is so out of touch with reality (try Elance for $100) it makes the entire book seem outdated and unbelievable and any potentially useful information treated with a large degree of skepticism. Specialising can be ok, sure - but the example of a logo creation company - that can more or less be replaced by a small bash script these days - no barriers to entry - every kid with a copy of Photoshop - bad, bad example (maybe time for a rewrite?).

I gave it 3 stars as there are a couple of useful bits - but you have to look really hard for them. This is the first book about selling a company I have read - maybe they are all like this. The writing style is easy enough to read - and the book isn't that long. Without the story, the book could be summed up by 7 or 8 one line tips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Conditioner, 2 May 2013

I use pretty much all Paul Mitchell products for my hair - it leaves it shiny, easy to straighten and tends to not get greasy for 2 days. This rinse like the shampoos is great - you can almost feel it working in the shower as it melts into the hair. Whether it makes my hair significantly more shiny and healthy than just using the Paul Mitchell Super skinny is debatable, but it does reduce tangles and frizzyness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! And so tiny, 2 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The reception on this little Dab radio is excellent - as you would expect from DAB radios - but dont always get. It has big buttons for the essentials - volume, tuning etc, and smaller, yet easy to use buttons on the top for all the settings. I used this to replace an old fm radio, mainly purchasing it because i have tried fm radios with the cord aerials and they tend not to get great reception- so i wanted an extendible solid aerial - as it happens the reception on this is so good i dont even need to put the aerial up - bonus!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product!, 2 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is so simple to use - 1 button - turn it on ... place on desk and leave. Other reviewers have said it isn't subtle due to the light flashing - which it does for about 10 seconds - then goes off and you don't even know it is there. Voice recording is very good - decent range.

I guess it's a bit confusing because it is a USB device that you think you need to plug it into the USB port on a computer to use it - in fact if you plug it into the USB port it no longer functions as a recording device, instead it lets you access all the files on it.

It loses 1 star as the date on all the files you record is the year 2000, which is a bit of a pain when trying to organise with anything else in chronological order on your PC.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard to Find!, 2 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I had been searching for these for over a year in the UK, ideally i wanted the liquid version - but actually these are just as tasty. I have no clue where they shipped from, but they arrived in about 2 weeks - which is well within the estimated time. The only downside is that all the instructions are in a foreign language! It would be fine if i could copy the words into google translate, but unlike french or german or spanish where you have the accents etc, this is a whole otheralphabet i cant reproduce on my keyboard!

Anyway - it is basically a normal size glass of water combined with 1 packet of mix - the mix itself completely disolves and doesnt leave the nasty residue at the bottom that you get with some mix/shakes. Tastes great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Concept - Feels a Bit Plasticy, 26 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fit a 3.5 inch SATA drive and an 2.5 inch SATA drive in the same 5.25 inch bay - how awesome! I have installed one of these in my HP Proliant Microserver after a quick Bios update (home user modification) both of the bays work at full the full 300. I got so tired of the main drive in a WHS setup dying and having to rebuild the whole thing that i switched to SSD Hard drives a year or so ago, the Icy Dock means i can have the SSD and still have enough room for another 3.5 inch HD. I have 5 x 4 terrabytes plus the SSD in my Microserver thanks to the IcyDock - that is a lot of HD space in such a compact space!

The unit itself comes with 2 SATA connectors on the back - and just needs the 1 power connector, so it is nice and eay. The reason i gave it 4 stars is that although it is awesome and does the job amazingly well, the eject mechanism is very plasticy, swapping drives in and out is a little tricky as they fit so snuggly. Each drive has its own little power switch on the front which you need to use before you hot swap or you need to reboot to get it to recognise the new drive - which kind of defeats the purpose.

I couldnt find anythign similar on the market - certainly not as affordable as this. If you just want to have 2 drives in the 1 bay then buy this - no question.

5.0 out of 5 stars You want Huge!? This is it!, 26 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I purchased one of these and a Razer Goliathus mat at the same time to basically cover a desk that i have a PC and a laptop on. The material on this is the semi mesh kind, not as smooth as the Razer Goliathus, but just as responsive. It is heavy duty enough that it unrolls flat straight out of the box it is rolled up in. Technically i think it is designed to go underneath a laptop and have enough room to use the mouse in a decent size surface - which it does - even with a laoptop the size of an Alienware M17x.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Mouse Mat, 26 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you are looking for a giant mousemat made of really high quality material - this is the one for you. It is the smooth material type, not the semi mesh type that the do for other sizes. Precision mouse control and a huge area to roll the mouse around in. I have a Razer Naga mouse - and these 2 work unbelievably well together. Everythign you would expect from Razer. Even the box is beautiful.
