5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for design fans, 7 Jan 2013

This review is from: The Fir Tree (Hardcover)
Bought this delightfully illustrated book for my wife as one of her Christmas presents. We both love the work of Sanna Annukka and this is her first book so I can see it being a collector's item of the future. She designs for Marrimekko too and her graphic design is mid-century influenced. The photo of the book shows it to be a dark green when in fact it is more lime green (just to mention. The words and illustrations together make it suitable for both kids and adults alike. Perfect stocking filler!

Deliberated long and hard over which title to choose but in the end I think I chose well. Bought it for son's Christmas stocking so the theme was just right. The cartoon is feature length and our boys (nearly 4 & 8) really enjoyed it.

Bought this card game for my 2 boys (almost 4 & 8) as a stocking filler. Both boys love playing it and can initiate game play all by themselves just when they want to have a game (with no help from an adult). Bright & colourful cards (larger than normal playing cards) which are a little tricky for small hands to fan out. Seems to be a little like the game play of UNO which is no bad thing as we love that game too. Great fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another fab book!, 7 Jan 2008
Julia Donaldson has a real flair for rhythms and rhymes and every book we own of hers our 2.5 year old son just adores. Nick Sharratt's illustrations are so colourful and charming that it is a joy to read this book every day which our son insists on every bedtime. I can't recommend it higher...it's just so good. Go out and buy it today!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another classic!, 16 Oct 2007
This review is from: You Choose! (Paperback)
Our 2 and a half year old loves this book. The illustrations by Nick Sharratt are absolutely wonderful and there is so much to discuss with your child when you are reading through. Pointing to various pictures and asking your child questions gives you an insight into your child's preferences on things. It makes for a delightful read. I would recommend this book to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars enchanting!, 21 Sep 2007
This review is from: Room on the Broom (Paperback)
We were given this book and our 2 and a half year old loves it. It's really a joy to read and our son loves finishing the ends of every sentence ~ the rythmn of the text is excellent and you certainly go on a journey with the witch and her entourage. Our son often wants it read to him a second, third, fourth time in succession. We also own the Gruffalo's Child which he enjoys to. Excellent writing and wonderful detail in the illustrations ~ lots to pick out and discuss with your child. Thoroughly recommend this author's work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting, 15 Dec 2006
This review is from: Christmas Memories jigsaw (Toy)
This jigsaw is actually 4 jigsaws of 250 pieces each in one box. Each jigsaw has a beautiful Christmas scene illustrated by Carol Lawson. The detail is stunning and whilst you're completing each puzzle you can play the accompanying music CD which has cathedral choirs singing traditional carols. All in all it gets you into the Christmas spirit and something all the family can enjoy doing together.
