5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant all round performer, 4 July 2016
First off, I didn't buy this camera from Amazon; SLRHut had it cheaper with three lenses.

It is an amazing camera. So simple to use, it can be used as a point and click, or it can be used to adjust almost any setting that you want using the "Creative zone". It has been criticised for being too light. Personally I like the weight and feel of the camera; it's well balance with my everyday 18-55 zoom, comfortable to hold for long periods and the menu screen is an absolute picture of clarity. One other additional feature that is particularly useful is the Wi-Fi built in. As soon as I get home, turn the camera on, and all the photographs I've just taken are downloaded to my Mac.

We can all be budding David Bailey's now, even with a fraction of the talent!

3.0 out of 5 stars For the money, it's fine., 3 July 2016

It's OK provided you have a camera that can adjust the White Balance. Although LED, the light is not that bright and is quite yellow. It also chews through AA batteries, so rechargeable batteries are the way ahead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic little security camera, 3 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fantastic little camera with a great field of view and a picture that has a lot of detail, even under low light conditions.

I have it connected to my Synology DiskStation (via Ethernet over PowerLine and WiFi) that is running Surveillance Station. It captures movement during a predefined period and has been 100% reliable since I set it up (really quite straight forward). It can be adjusted either through the Synology interface, through it's own web logon, or from a smartphone/tablet interface. I have been able to login in to it from anywhere in the UK and see what is going on at home at any time I needed/wanted to.

Would highly recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Snapped a Micro SD card in half, 22 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
In theory a great little product. However! The first time you insert anything into a slot, a lot, and I mean A LOT of force is needed to remove it. So much so that it snapped a 32Gb Micro SD card in half. Once something has been inserted and removed the first time it works just fine, being held snugly but not requiring much force to extract the card.

Because of the excessive force required to extract the card on the first occasion, I could not recommend that you use an expensive card in case it also snaps as you try to extract it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good concept poorly executed, 27 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Basically it does (some of the time) what it says it does. However:

1. The instructions are extremely basic and just tell you how to get a picture onto your smartphone/tablet.
2. It has an ethernet and wireless connection, and if either one is missing you get a continuos large red blinking light. So you can't really set it up and then move it to where you want and just rely on the wireless connection as the red blinking light never stops and makes sure everyone sees it.
3. The is an alarm connection, but no instructions available on how to use it.
4. There are no detailed instructions anywhere (and I've spent two days searching) on the web or from the supplier.
5. It's an IP camera, so having found it's IP address (or set it in the settings) you would have thought that you could monitor the feed through a surveillance program. Apparently not. It's incompatible with everything I've tried, and of course with no technical details...........
6. The motion sensing that allows recording to a microSD card (you have to work it out for yourself....no instructions) works sometimes and sometimes not. Having tried a variety of settings from maximum sensitivity to minimum, it will either work, or it won't, spending on how its feeling. Sometimes a light turning on will activate it, sometimes when the cat wanders by, sometimes when a human walks in the room, but mostly not.

On the plus side, I can view the live feed on my phone/tablet from wherever I am (haven't tried overseas yet) and it's easy to set up.

Would I recommend this? It depends what you want it for. If you want it just for a live feed then it's fine. If you want it for security, then it's too flakey and unreliable as it may record, or it may not depending on it's mood.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish., 16 Mar. 2016
A great idea in principle, whereby by downloading an App onto the iPhone you can answer the landline, so in theory you just need one of these in the house and then use mobiles as additional handsets.

However.
The menu structure is abysmal. Trying to do anything (including find out where the new messages are) is just frustrating and slow.
The sound quality is even worse. It is almost unusable as the sound is so muffled and quiet, even on the loudest setting, I often have to get people to repeat what they are saying.
The App drains the battery of the iPhone quite quickly and whinges as soon as it loses connection, so you can't leave it running in the background. therefore when you hear the phone ring you have to activate the App in order to answer the phone.

It is by far the worst phone I have ever bought and will shortly be recycled. I'll get something much cheaper which can only be better than this junk. No-one in the family likes it and everyone will do whatever they can to avoid using it.

My advice? Obvious really. Save your money and buy something decent instead.

Really bright light, low power usage and fully dimmable. Replaced all the lights in the house with these. They're fantastic, though of course they're more expensive than incandescent bulbs, but they should last much longer and they use considerably less electricity which is good news for parents.

It doesn't work with the vast majority of games. It is extremely fussy about what it does work with and the connection to Macs is not terribly impressive either. Returned it after 3 days frustration of trying to get it to do something, anything!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great cable, poor connector, 4 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The cable is of a good quality and a great length. However, and as noted in other reviews, the Lightning connector is the weak point which is actually quite a big deal when using these every day to charge iPads and iPhones. I have four cables connected to an Anker 60W USB charger, and after 4 months of use one of the Lightning connectors just fell off and another is starting to come loose which is a 50% failure rate. If you're going to use these cables, you'd better buy some spares as well!
