3.0 out of 5 stars Good performance but spoiled by recording!, 4 Mar. 2015
I wonder why no one talks about the fact that the recording took place in two sessions and that the session for BWV 1068/1069 is simply awful compared to the session for BWV 1066/1067. I really like the performance itself, but the recording for BWV 1068/1069 has low sound volume and colorless. I think Decca has done a bad job and did not hesitate to place the result on the market. So I give only three stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars So if you like Rameau orchestra do not miss this release, 19 Dec. 2014
Though I listen to baroque music in authentic performance for a long time I have paid attention to instrumental music of Rameau only recently. There are a little of such recordings in the market. Till now I have only six in my collection. This recording for me is a standard of quality both the music and its performance. Two other records on Glossa (though performed by Brueggen too) are much less interesting concerning the material itself. So if you like Rameau orchestra do not miss this release.

3.0 out of 5 stars The second one is better, 17 Dec. 2014
From two CDs of Rameau' suites by Brueggen which are released on Glossa this one is the worst. Workmanship is at very high level, but a quality of the material does not please. There are too much tambourines and musettes that often simply irritates. Besides that the bagpipe which takes part in recording periodically releases disgusting high-frequency peep . All this together reduces my impression to 3 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars So pity!, 21 Nov. 2014
I was expecting something magical and similar to Bach Orchestral Suites for Young Prince with Monica Huggett on Avie records, but instead I have heard a non-convincing for me quick and sharp performance of concertos with the attacking oboe parts. There was no intimate details as normally I expected from Mr.G. Ruiz and the Orchestra performance itself is straight and flat. All that is so pity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do not miss!, 24 Jan. 2014
If you like the Geminiani's transcriptions of Corelli's music, do not miss this release. In addition to two concerts on a basis of Corelli sonatas op.5 this CD contains for the first and only time all six concerts based on his trio-sonatas op.1 and 3. Great performance and recording!

5.0 out of 5 stars Remastered Decca, 19 Jan. 2014
This is not just a reissue licensed but beautifully remastered release. Compared with the original Hogwood's Decca edition of Handel op.s3 & op.6 a sound became deeper and more saturated. The high and low tones remain as in the original, but the midtones are heard now more clearly and lively. As a result the recordings got a new life! I highly recommend exactly these new versions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Waiting for the next releases!, 17 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Sonate Da Camera Vol. 3 (Audio CD)
Very surprised that there are still no reviews of this release. All three volumes of Janitsch's sonatas simply shock by incredible good quality of works, performances and recordings.
I look forward to the next releases. Highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Very mediocre!, 11 Dec. 2013
I am very disappointed with this release. The quality of performance and recording are significantly lower of opportunities of Zefiro ensemble. String parts is virtually nonexistent, oboes are not tuned. Tempo itself does not match my idea of Telemann's sound. So I will wait for the best performances of these overtures.

5.0 out of 5 stars New look, 9 Oct. 2013
This is not just another new recording of Brandenburg concertos, but a new fresh look at this masterpiece. This is a new research approach in performance and recording. It is a decent pair to recording of Bach's Orchestral Suites made recently by Ensemble Sonnerie on Avie. All other recordings 80-90s already seem outdated, although part of them are very good and even excellent.J. S. 5.0 out of 5 stars The best version, 2 Oct. 2013
My comparison with all available at the moment period versions of Bach's harpsicord concertos (Pinnock,Hogwood,Koopman) shows me that this is the best. Crisp and clear orchestra and soloist, incredible balance between harpsicord and orchestra make this recording much superior of all mentioned.
