4.0 out of 5 stars Bagley on form as ever with great plots and characters., 8 Mar 2014

Bagley writes almost as a latter day Fleming. His Plots are inventive and his characters do have charm, they were of course written in a time when things weren't so PC as they are now, much like Flemings "Bond" books. However I think if you can get past this his books have a charm of their own and would appeal to both men and women. I can recommend both these books as a good read and especially as they represent such good value

4.0 out of 5 stars As always entertaining and excellent historical facts too, 8 Mar 2014

I thought I'd try reading the whole of the Sharp series of books and so far have not been disappointed. Sharp as allways is a very engaging character and totally flawed so as to make him all the more believable. Cornwell is spot on his historical facts and only changes some names of people and places for the sake of the book. I particularly liked the description of the destruction of Copenhagen which I felt was woven into the story well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Concert, you wouldn't miss McDonald at all, this right on form for the band., 8 Mar 2014

This Concert came as a pleasant surprise. I hadn't seen the Doobie Bros. for many ears and was very pleased to see and more importantly hear that they still have their magic. Picture and sound crisp as ever on Bluray. All the tracks are grea t and show off their virtuoso skills. This is worth a look wether you are a fan or not, truly a great performance.

Seemed like I was back in 1978, If you like AOL Rock you'll love this, perhaps one of the great Corporate Rock Bands. Can't remember how many records they have sold, but it's in the millions and if you watch this Concert you'll see why. I liked the idea of playing both Albums back to back, the Keyboard player can be forgiven for being "over the top " at times but I'll forgive him for his great voice and keyboard skills. The BluRay format is superb bring out picture and sound stunningly. Heartily recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Concert with tunes as melodic as ever and executed with passion and great musicianship., 8 Mar 2014

A great set in one of my favourite venues. The band has captured the audience well and as a viewer I felt connected to the concert . Picture on BluRay is superb and the sound is even better. It's a shame that the benefits of BluRay don't get more exposure. Paul Carriick and Mike Rutherford still totally on form, Unsurprisingly the "Living Years" is a real treat.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good retro start for John Rain. all the "Rain" series is good, but this book certainly stands out., 8 Mar 2014

A very good start to for the John Rain series. As always he portrays "Rain in a sympathetic way considering that he's a "hit man" albeit one with a conscience. This so far is one of his best.
