just a different 'Animal'...., 30 July 2011
Have to disagree with the previous review. Comics have always been built on interpretation and creative freedom. Grant Morrisons run was excellent, and highly recommended, but was very much a product of its late 80's, early 90's time. This collection is just a nice, well written, well drawn, out of continuity self contained story. Gerry Conway is a legendary writer who has been in the world of tv writing for many years, and this is his first comic work for a long time (I think!). It is a little 'old fashioned' only in that Buddy is happily married, happy at work, and San Diego loves him. Whats wrong with that? I had as much enjoyment reading this as the Morrison issues, and would happily recommend both.

The Smell of Fear..., 24 Mar 2010
Outstanding collection. This is how 'widescreen' comics should be done. Well written, detailed yet grandiose art, strong characters, and genuine cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. And just to make you aware this is a war, characters die in a matter of fact way. Highly recommended.

This will Driver you crazy...., 19 Mar 2010
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
I really wanted to like this.It has its moments. I like the fact the game is set in 2 time era's; I like the plot;I like the cut-scenes; decent music. Unfortunately, the terrible, glitchy gameplay just destroys any good will you have. Many times you will fail a mission not through bad play, but because of some random glitch; often missions are semi-ridiculous, because of the sheer number of cars on the road. The game just stops being fun, and it became a chore to finish. The missions are very boring overall, very samey, and although its an open world, you can'd do anything. No buildings to enter, people to interact with. You just drive and do your missions. I completed it with a huge sigh of relief, and will not be going back any time soon. Start at your own peril!

Who watched the Watchmen statues...., 17 Feb 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This is a fantastic sculpt, based on Rorschach from the film Watchmen (as opposed to his comic version). Limited in numbers, with the exact number on the base, this is a fantastic piece. Great level of detail, very heavy and solid, and truly impressive on display. If you are a fan, well worth buying

You should be gunning for this..., 6 Feb 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This game was indeed a bit of a surprise. I love Grand Theft Auto games, and tend to buy the clones to keep me going; Gun looked like one, so I bought it. It does have quite a few similarities to GTA,but is definitely its own animal. As has been said, the game is a little short. The main story mission is very engaging, but you wish it it had taken longer to flesh out. You will enjoy what there is though. The side missions are a bit repetitive, but I ended up doing them all to get the 100%. Visually, the game is very good, the voice work is actually also very good, and the music gives the game a nice atmospheric western feel. I would recommend this game, as it is definitely worth playing, but I would hope to see Gun 2 one day, on the PS3, as a much larger and expansive game.

Invaluable to get 100% completion..., 24 Mar 2009
This is a fantastic guide, and well worth the money if you want to achieve 100% completion, and find various hidden extras and secrets. Well laid out, lots of pictures, maps, and info. I used this, a LOT! If you love the game, get this.

Not GTA Lite, GTA right!!, 24 Mar 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Canis Canem Edit, or Bully, is a fantastic game. Although the missions are relatively easy, the amount of missions, their scope and variety still make it a lot of fun. I was engrossed in this game, and played all the main missions, side missions, extras etc, of which there are plenty. The world of Bullworth and the surrounding area is well thought out, and the attention to detail is stunning; you enjoy just walking around... The game also does a good job of fleshing out the characters, unusual for most games, and you know the personalities of them; it also has excellent voice work and a great soundtrack. Pretty near to game perfection in my eyes, and for the price its at now, are you nuts!! go buy...NOW!

You may love this sexy......., 18 July 2008
This film is funnier than I thought it would be, but is not quite one of Ferrells best. I really enjoyed the 70's vibe, which they captured perfectly, and loved Ferrell and the cast mugging for all they were worth. Yes the plot is formulaic, sometimes stupid, and Maura Tierney is criminally under-used,but the film has a lot of heart, laughs at itself, is feel-good, and has enough laugh out loud moments to justify a night in watching it. The theme tune is fantastic, too........!!

Not exactly survival horror, but not bad....., 13 April 2008
There are two ways to approach this film. As a stand on its own action film, its not bad. Theres a lot of action, if no real character development, and it shifts along at a fair pace. Disappointing finale, though. As a Resident Evil fan (which I am), this has little in common with that source material. There are a few nods to the games (demon dogs, killer crows, Umbrella bases, Jill Valentine's red dress etc)but the central plot follows Alice, a character created for the films. If you want 90 minutes of escapism, you could do worse.....

Theres not actually any snow.............., 22 Mar 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This is a good, solid game. Nothing fancy, just does exactly what it says on the tin. Its an enjoyable FPS, plenty of things to shoot at, blow up, and cause havoc with. It is pretty short, but when you throw in the multiplayer stuff, its got reasonable longevity. I enjoyed the plot, and you have/ gain some nifty abilities and weaponry throughout the game. Interestingly, this was supposed to be a Deus Ex game, and both feels and plays like one (although the interactive element has been stripped away) If you like a good old fashioned shooter, this ones for you............
