5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a summer wedding, 1 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this for my son's wedding - outdoors, by the St Lawrence river in Montreal, in hot sunshine. Excellent - smart, comfortable, well-made, and rolls up into a cardboard tube for travel. Spot on.

2.0 out of 5 stars Less than satisfactory publication, 1 Nov 2013

A good idea, but not a happy result. Not very well written, obviously selective in what it covers, and not a book I shall use much.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good little light, 1 Nov 2013

This came just in time for the 'Light night' in Leeds, where we were singing outdoors. It clips on to my music folder, and gives a good light. Just the job!

This review is from: The Kappillan of Malta (Paperback)
About to return to Malta for a holiday, so re-reading this. A splendid book about the island and its life through the horrors of the 2nd world war. A very good read for anyone interested, or anyone about to visit this lovely and historic island.

A superb CD - immaculate playing, fantastic organ, and a great building and acoustic to add the icing on the cake!

Gave this as a Christmas present to my daughter. Have seen the original on TV, and hope that she will like it as much as we did.

Looks an interesting book, though I have only dipped into it for the moment. A big read to get from cover to cover.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good in parts, 17 Aug 2009

Used this on a 2000-mile trip round Europe in the last three weeks - mixed results: several new roads not on the latest maps, roundabouts missing, etc. It got us hopelessly lost in Basel, and often tried to send us where we didn't want to go. When you know where you are going, it is fine! Occasional speed camera warnings, but not consistent there. A very clear display, and clear directions, and at times very helpful. It does seem to have odd ideas about the best way to go at times, not least in England, where we know the roads we want. Use with care.
