I have a journal which I carry with me everywhere. I write news, keep calculations and research results, glue in magazine snippets, keeps receipts, and make drawings - all in the same journal. I keep these journals in a box and refer to them now and then. I copy out pages which are still useful into the next journal every time a finish one and start the next.

My new Arc journal is perfect for this. It is a series of loose leaves which can be added or removed from the journal so I can have a written page followed by a plastic envelope containing travel tickets followed by an appointments diary page followed by a page of calculations. Each month I can remove the pages which are no longer needed on a daily basis and refill them in an archival journal which I keep at home.

There are different sized plastic 'coins' which work to clip the pages into the journal. Each different size takes more or less pages. I have a set of small 'coins' for my daily journal and a really big 'coin' for my archive journal.

I'd really recommend this notebook for those who want a good looking, lightweight diary/journal which works like a lever arch file but which is far more stylish. I've bought a plastic cover for the book in my handbag and a leather cover for my archival journal.

This really isn't a beginner's guide to R and it's practical uses. You need to have a good understanding of R before you buy this book.

Everyone has already said everything I wanted to say! This is an clear and concise book which will be useful to medical students doing a module in this subject. Worth the money.

I bought this book for a first year medical student. She tells me that it is a really good summary. She thinks that it will really help when she does a module in this subject next year. It's simple and will definitely be very useful.

There are serviettes which "go with" these plates which I used at a recent birthday party. The cake designer used the matching serviettes as his inspiration for the design and having the cake on these plates made the whole thing very special.

I bought these serviettes for a birthday party celebration and asked the cake decorator to take his inspiration from them. He did and the cake was beautiful. The colours on the serviettes are vibrant and they really added to the day.

This map has all the roads I needed, with good schematic information regarding towns worth visiting. If you're off on holiday, and you've hired a car, this is a great map to have. Even if you haven't hired a car, it'd be worth buying this map to decide where you wanted to take a bus to while you're visiting.

I bought this book as a present who have a Christmas Eve get-together every year and sing carols around the Christmas Tree. Unfortunately there was no music, only the words - I should have read the blurb more carefully and then I would have been aware this is the case. And the carols and hymns chosen were "classic" in the sense that they were beautiful poems which have stood the test of time, but they are not the "popular" hymns and carols that I was expecting.

This is not a book for those of us who want to sit around a blazing fire and revisit our youth, singing familiar carols. It's more a book to dip into on a quiet evening to enjoy good writing.

The Swarovski crystals make these earrings look way more expensive than they actually are. However, the box was a bit of a disappointment so make sure that you have another box available if these are for a present. If they're for yourself, you won't be at all disappointed as the earrings themselves are perfect.

I'm so pleased I bought this timer. The one on my cooker is sometimes drowned out by my radio if I'm upstairs doing chores. I clip this timer to my shirt and then, as I'm wandering about the house, I never miss the beep which reminds me to take my cakes out of the oven. Thanks from me and thanks from my husband ;)
