5.0 out of 5 stars Received September 1st 2015 direct from Amazon UK: New version containing updates / errata, 31 Aug. 2015
Confirmed: I got the new reprint edition containing official errata when bought direct from Amazon UK.

I just received my copy of this book and can confirm that it is the latest version with the errata amendments (see the official DnD website for a download link to the errata to the first printing - I have checked and my copy of the book contains them).

It is confusing to tell just from opening the book that it is the newer updated version as the inside cover has ISBN 978-0-7869-6560-1 and states "First Printing: August 2014 (This printing includes corrections to the first printing.)".
Why not call it second printing and then it is possible to tell what you will get!

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews, 9 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Reign Of Fire [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I had this in my Amazon basket for ages before ordering it. Firstly, the Blu-ray presentation: good sharp 1080p24 picture with the post apocalyptic bleak grey theme coming across well with good contrast and framing. The sound is dynamic and the speech easily heard although you have to manually select the lossless LPCM 5.1 soundtrack as it defaults to plain old low quality lossy Dolby Digital which I find on any movie is great for booming bass but can make the dialogue muddy unless you enable dynamic range compression which is just not needed with the lossless 5.1 LPCM so make sure you select that in the setup menu first!
Regarding the film itself, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I usually like Christian Bale's character acting and again he puts himself into it fully as a slightly detached battle weary father figure for a community of would be survivors. I didn't relate to Matthew McNoughty's character but it fitted well into the film. There was a good balance of character portrayal to bring you into the bleak outlook these people face and thankfully this was not a movie with dragons flying around everywhere simply because they could and because all the CGI design and texture mapping had been done. They were instead used sparingly to drive the story on. Although most complaints in these reviews are about a lack of dragons, I think that if there were many more scenes of swooping dragon flight or fire breathing to satisfy those wanting inane CGI, the film would get even more negative reviews because of it. If you want frantic action of men fighting "monsters" with great CGI rapid sequence effects to feast your eyes / distract you from the plot then I would recommend any of the Transformers movies instead!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet vocal style and voice, 8 July 2010
This review is from: Goddamned (Audio CD)
I love this album so much that I bought the Covers CD too (with a phenomenal version of the Cranberries "Zombie").
The accoustic style music with the humbling sweet toned vocal really brings out the emotion in the songs.
A particular favourite of mine on this is "Housewife" with "Half Boyfriend" coming a close second.

Bring on the next album of all original tracks Jay!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great album, great format on Blu-ray but the download doesn't work, 28 Jun. 2010
The Blu-ray version has excellent quality with DTS-MA surround sound being faultless for clarity and providing just the right amount of surround sound to provide a raw in the room feel without being gimmicky.

The free digital download does not work though - I would have liked to have this on my iPod too (which is what the download is for). The web address supplied in the box is not vailid infortunately. This maybe be because today is the first day of release for the Blu-ray. Shame. I have docked a star! After paying a premium for the Blu-ray do I need to buy the CD too??????

As for the music - blues rock in style with the odd reggae track thrown in and well worth a punt even for non Petty fans!

You know why I give it a one - because we have to wait for the Extended editions.
I don't want extras. I just want the film.
