Doctor Who: Nothing O'Clock: Eleventh Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 11)
Doctor Who: Nothing O'Clock: Eleventh Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 11)
Price: £1.99

4.0 out of 5 stars What's the Time Mr Wolf?, 24 Nov 2013
Gaiman has, unsurprisingly, captured the Eleventh Doctor perfectly in this last short story of the series. The only thing missing is a "It's an XXX, I wear XXX now, XXX are cool".

Doctor Who: The Mystery of the Haunted Cottage: Tenth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 10)
Doctor Who: The Mystery of the Haunted Cottage: Tenth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 10)
Price: £1.99

3.0 out of 5 stars An Adventure in the Mind, 24 Nov 2013
I liked this Tenth Doctor story and the writing felt right, all of it except Martha Jones whose speech came across as much more Donna Noble.

Doctor Who: The Beast of Babylon: Ninth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 9)
Doctor Who: The Beast of Babylon: Ninth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 9)
Price: £1.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Never Trust a God, 24 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Charlie Higson's tale of the Ninth Doctor takes part in the short time between Rose Tyler's refusal to go for a trip in the TARDIS and the Doctor returning with the immortal line "Did I mention it also travels in time". Higson has managed to capture the Ninth Doctor's character completely in this short story and answer a question or two while he's at it, fantastic.

Doctor Who: Spore: Eighth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 8)
Doctor Who: Spore: Eighth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 8)
Price: £1.99

3.0 out of 5 stars The Doctor Goes to Roswell, 24 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Eighth Doctor goes to Roswell to defeat an alien terraforming spore. In all the stories featuring the Eighth Doctor he seems to exude a knowing melancholy and I have to give Alex Scarrow credit for capturing this facet of the Doctor's personality.

Doctor Who: The Ripple Effect: Seventh Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 7)
Doctor Who: The Ripple Effect: Seventh Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 7)
Price: £1.99

4.0 out of 5 stars A Moral Conundrum, 23 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Seventh Doctor and companion Ace face off against the most terrifying beings in all of time and space, friendly and altruistic Daleks!

Doctor Who: Something Borrowed: Sixth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 6)
Doctor Who: Something Borrowed: Sixth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 6)
Price: £1.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Peri's View, 23 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Mead manages to highlight the Sixth Doctor's vanity and arrogance extremely well in this story told from the perspective of companion Peri Brown. In a tale set in an alien version of Las Vegas we see the Doctor face off against immoral Time Lord scientist the Rani.

Doctor Who: Tip Of The Tongue: Fifth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts)
Doctor Who: Tip Of The Tongue: Fifth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts)
Price: £1.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Small town America, 23 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Fifth Doctor's short is very reminiscent of the Tenth Doctor episode 'Blink' in that he doesn't appear until late in the story which works well in this WWII tale of small town America.

Doctor Who: The Roots of Evil: Fourth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 4)
Doctor Who: The Roots of Evil: Fourth Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 4)
Price: £1.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Trees Company (geddit?), 23 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Reeve has managed to bring the grinning loon that is the Fourth Doctor to life in this short story though his need to reference the Eleventh Doctor wasn't really needed as I thought the precursor events were much more Sixth Doctor.

Doctor Who: The Spear of Destiny: Third Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 3)
Doctor Who: The Spear of Destiny: Third Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 3)
Price: £1.99

3.0 out of 5 stars The Dandy Returns, 23 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A fine romp for the third Doctor and companion Jo Grant in search of the Spear of Destiny.
I was a little surprised to see that Sedgwick chose Jo for the companion rather than Sarah Jane but the story leaps along at a good pace and is written in such a way that it filled my mind with memories of Saturday tea-times in the '70s.

Doctor Who: The Nameless City: Second Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 2)
Doctor Who: The Nameless City: Second Doctor (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary E-Shorts Book 2)
Price: £1.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Recorder Music for the Mind, 17 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Second Doctor takes his turn in the spotlight and if I have any complaints about this short story it's if you must allude to the Cthuluhu mythos you could at least use the name.
