4.0 out of 5 stars anti Islam AGAIN ?, 23 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I really feel there is a theme developing here... 5 of the 6 books deal with negative impression of Islam.. Not saying I don't agree BUT... AND WHY THESE Clive Cussleresque references in each book(obliquely) to not liking Jaguar cars?? Develop a plot past the easy hit. A good read nevertheless dispute the overuse of the word'daft'.. NO ONE in the UK uses this as it's not 1954 anymore! And I'm not convinced the Buckingham Palace scene would play out 'quite' as portrayed... About to move on to #7.

God together back to what he does best..a high (exceedingly) body count, lots of death & destruction most if it wanton but the story moves well introducing us to an unknown culture. A very good read.

A good typical Acton romp through just one day! However, many improbable a remain. Also continues to leave a feeling of the author's dislike & distrust of Islam. Looking forward to #5 but feel this anti Islam is colouring his writing.

4.0 out of 5 stars jury still out, 3 July 2014

Another good romp thru Acton's life a day at a time but the plot thins out in places with needless killing (border guards) with no remorse. Suddenly a plane has hidden areas and the timeline shrinks getting from Vermont to Rome to Turkey...maybe could have been 100 pages longer to flesh out the narrative a little. Looking forward to the next thro...

3.0 out of 5 stars what Protocol ?, 11 Jun 2014

A nice premise but way too much wanton destruction both domestic and in a foreign land to keep the narrative believable. A first in the series so I hope the rest if the series gets 'fleshed out' as experience kicks in.

5.0 out of 5 stars the Lincoln myth or a it?, 6 Jun 2014

A jolly romp thu Mormon folklore with typical Cotton moments. Regulars won't be disappointed but the usual depth of action is missing in places replaced by prophesy and historical narrative. A good read never the less.

Actually breakfast, lunch AND dinner... Couldn't put it down. Brilliantly written & fantastically funny. Found myself laughing out loud on an airplane! Neatly interwoven "fact" and fiction. 33 is my new favorite number...
