Grey Scale and Value Finder

Price: £2.20

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor "Value"finder., 10 May 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A very poor product.I can only echo what other reviewers have said about the flimsiness
of this item.It would have been much better to have been printed on thin, rigid plastic.
Worse still,the so-called black isn't 100% black,more like a fairly dark grey - which casts
doubt on the accuracy of the rest of the scale. On a purely personal level I find the use
by the American art industry of the term "value", in place of tonal value, very irritating.

I play this cd whenever I need to be cheered up-and it
always works.Thank you,Sir Malcolm.
( I wish my local supermarket-Asda-would play this
kind of music, occasionally, instead of the usual drivel)

3.0 out of 5 stars incorrect information, 17 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this table to take with me on my camping trips because
it is just the right size for one person(neither too big nor too small),
and, with the legs removed,is a useful low-level surface. The fact
that the plugs at the bottom ends of the legs could be screwed
in or out to cater for uneven ground(as appears to be shown in
the illustration) was also a positive. However, the table I received
did not have this (very desirable) feature. The plugs LOOK as
though they can be adjusted but ,in fact, they are a one-piece
casting and solidly fixed into the leg ends.Having attacked them
with a pair of pliers I only succeeded in scoring the plastic. It
seems the design has been modified since the illustrations were
posted on Amazon. The table is O.K. in other respects but this
really is not good enough, Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing., 8 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Take Ten (Audio CD)
I bought this to complement my Dave Brubeck CDs.The playing by Paul Desmond
was,of course, fine - everything that I expected. However,it was all spoilt for me by
the very intrusive sound of the drummer. It's the charity shop for this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing, 14 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bach Concertos (Audio CD)
I bought this cd having heard one track from it played on Classic FM.
The music content consists of three pieces for solo guitar alternating
with three concertos for guitar and string quartet, transcribed by the
artist herself.The solo guitar works are,of course,fine.After all,what
else would you expect from a virtuoso guitarist playing J.S.Bach ?
However, the listening experience was completely spoilt for me by the
playing of the Elias String Quartet-which,to my ears, was discordant and
generally unpleasant. This is one cd which is going to the nearest
charity shop ! Thanks for nothing,E.M.I.!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed !, 27 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My binoculars are very conventional( Bushnell 8x42 ),nevertheless-even at this
modest magnification-I find it difficult to hold them steady enough to get a
decent view of,say, the moon.Hence the Manfrotto Super Clamp seemed the very answer
to the problem. What a disappointment !
Gripe no.1 The illustration gives the impression that the pan and tilt head is
part of the deal - it is not! Amazon should make that crystal clear.
(this does not matter to me as my camera tripod already has one)
Gripe no.2 There was a complete lack of any information or instructions provided
with the clamp. The clamping action is pretty obvious but it is not
clear what the secondary clamp is for.
Gripe no.3 As I noted above, my binoculars are nothing out of the ordinary so I
would have expected Manfrotto to have accomodated their shape into
the design for the clamp - but no,there is no way that I can get
the jaws open wide enough to hold the binoculars.
All in all,a complete waste of time.
Whilst puzzling over the function of the various bits I noticed that Manfrotto
stipulate a maximum load of 15 kg.on the clamp.ARE THEY SERIOUS ? 15 KILOS ?
THAT'S 33 lbs,or nearly 2 1/2 stone ! No one makes binoculars like that !
Come on Amazon , pull your socks up - you can do better than this .

3.0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware !!, 15 Nov. 2007
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The product description implies that this is a Nikon product.
That is quite wrong. It should be made very clear that this is
a SUBSTITUTE for a Nikon product !
