A Classic adventure. It is a dream that he lives in real life. It also illustrates the possibilities of friendships between black and white people are possible even in the times when racial discrimination was rampant.

4.0 out of 5 stars A really good read., 21 Jun 2014

Although this is a work of "Fiction" I happen to have worked with the author and also worked in this "Fictional" hospital. I know that some people who deal with vulnerable people can take advantage of their power and abuse others, both staff and patients. The book highlights the fact that vigilance is necessary to prevent this happening and should be reported to senior management who should take action but often do not. The book highlights bad standards of care that is accepted due, not because of staff being bad but being institutionalised themselves.
A book that anyone dealing with vulnerable people should read.

At first I thought I was reading a racier version of "50 shades of grey". It turned into a spinechilling book about control, psychosis and someone's attempt to make sense of their out of touch reality. Very much recommended.

This is a pleasant change from my usual detective books. It is a romance that many people will be able to relate to with it's change of direction and amusing storyline. Recommended.

This book gives an interesting view on what other people would disagree with. it puts forward scientific evidence for cholesterol not being the devil it is made out to be. I will still continue eating a minimum amount of saturated fat though.
