Bloody Streets: The Soviet Assault on Berlin, April 1945
Bloody Streets: The Soviet Assault on Berlin, April 1945
by Stephan Hamilton
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book due for a two-part re-release in 2016/2017, 8 April 2015
Excellent book that is now out of print, with no plans by the publisher to re-print.

The author is in the process of substantially updated this work.

It will be released in 2016/2017 as a new, much larger two-volume print, so worth the wait, don't pay £450 now.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work, 4 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Didn't work for me.

I followed all the instructions to the tee, both quick start and full.

After getting through three tests, the kitchen looked like a blood bath, so returned for a refund.

Will stick to The Docs to check in future.

Andrew James Electric Egg Boiler In Red, With Steamer Attachments - 7 Egg Capacity & 2 Year Warranty
Andrew James Electric Egg Boiler In Red, With Steamer Attachments - 7 Egg Capacity & 2 Year Warranty

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for money. Makes eggs so simple and easy., 10 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very good value for money. £13.99 + £2.99 postage.

Makes boiling eggs so simple. Haven't used the poacher, but by the the time you've made toast, boiled eggs are ready.

Comes with a small plastic cup. It is hard to see the measurement lines, but you fill with cold water to the level you want (soft, medium or hard) and how many eggs you are boiling. There is a small prick on the bottom of the cup that you use to prick the top of each egg. Place them hole down into the pan and add water to the base.

Turn on and it buzzes when ready, literally minutes later. It is that simple and highly effective, just remember to place the eggs hole downwards, or they will be under cooked.

Highly recommended product and excellent value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy and good quality book case. Recommended over cheaper models., 10 Feb. 2015
Very sturdy book case. There are cheaper bookcases out there, but when containing multiple books, the product needs to be fit for purpose.

Instructions quote 2 hours to assemble, but very straight forward and I completed in just under 30 minutes and that was taking my time.

You need a small cross-head screwdriver and a hammer to assemble.

Shelves can be altered via three different heights to take into account the different size of books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old v Young and Lee Carter gets His butt kicked, 23 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Viewers seem to either love or hate this movie. It's your typical revenge thriller.

Be honest, we'd all like to sort out some of the youth of today. It's not the foul mouths, trousers around the knees, baseball caps, swagger, lack of respect for other people's property. It's white kids talking as though they are black, or gangsta's.

Lee Carter from Eastenders is the leader of the bad boy crew. A welcome return to our screens of "The Saint" Ian Oglivy. You will soon forget that His crew were the real gangsters of the time as the exact revenge of Lee's gang, who soon learn that these old Men are not to be messed with.

You can more of less guess the outcome, but it's a worthwhile romp.

Purchased for my Wife. Took a while to arrive from China and is not a genuine product.

Upon first application Her eyes started to burn and eyelashes fell out.

Obvious dangerous fake and immediately returned for refund.

Avoid like the plague if you value your eyesight and stick to genuine UK based shop purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and gripping original drama., 22 Dec. 2014
This review is from: The Missing [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
*** SPOILER ALERT ***

It's every parents nightmare. They turn their back for a second and their child is gone. They call out frantically search, but they are never seen again. What's worse, the knowing, or the unknown?

James Nesbitt plays Tony, the Father of little Ollie, who was the last person to see Him alive at a bar, during a football game whilst on holiday in France.

Streched out over eight episodes, whilst others have given up and moved on, Tony refuses to do so and searches the town where He disappeared, looking for any clue that will help find His Son. Cue, the grizzled, retired detective, the ex-wife, etc.

The story unfolds peice by peice, slowly moving the viewer closer to the conclussion. Who is the mysterious businessman Ian who offers a reward? What is He hiding? Why does the Mayor want to close the cold case? Why is the local paeodo and what is His connection to the case? Why can't Tony accept the truth?

All is eventually revealed in episode eight, to what I considered to be a disappointed finale. The fate of Ollie is plausable on the night, but the last few scenes leave the viewer feeling let down. Was the boy Him, we will never know for certain and why no happy ending or closure?

5.0 out of 5 stars Compelling new slant on the Dracula genre, 26 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Quickly becomes gripping as this series is a new spin on the vampire films.

Very clever in it's execution and not a bad performance in the whole series.

Only shown on the satellite Channel "Living" in the UK. Must have got bad viewing figures as cancelled after this one series, which is a shame, as left on a cliffhanger.

Recommended.
