Michael Douglas and Matt Damon really shine - what a difference between this and other gayish movies! Script is very believable, and is is a joy to watch!

Such a low budget movie with such bad acting! Should have been an amateur horror movie instead! Why anyone would finance it is beyond me!

We know the story, but the actors have zest and are very agreeable! Simple plot, but not all that unbelievable!

I like that Sean Paul Lockhart is trying to enter mainstream movies - but get a better script, and take some more acting lessons. It wasn't boring , but not good enough!

3.0 out of 5 stars Modern raunchy comedy in a Roman setting?, 4 Jun 2013

Quite a raunchy comedy with a distinct modern feel, but quite OK in a Roman setting. Perhaps not always that believable, but the humour is quite OK.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a gay movie, 5 Sep 2010
This review is from: Newcastle - Australia [DVD] (DVD)
Marketing of this movie would have you believe it has a gay or at least gayish plot. Well this is hardly the case, as the gay plot of the movie really is just a side-plot. It is much more a coming-of-age movie, and as such it functions fine. I don't remeber there even being one kiss between two guys in the movie, but at least the guys are eye-candy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Strangely enticing, 5 Sep 2010
This review is from: Saudade [DVD] (DVD)
In many ways a very amateurish made movie. On the other hand, it did keep me watching the entire movie, and somehow it ended up involving me in the script after all. The marketing of the movie claims it to be very erotic - well that is hardly the case, as the sex is very limited and non-graphic. I will recommend it for gays, non-gays would hardly find it worth-while.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent fun, 5 Sep 2010
This review is from: Mambo Italiano [DVD] (DVD)
Mambo Italiano is quite adequate as a harmless gayish funny movie. It is by no means erotic, but the characters certainly are likable enough. I do believe though, that the idea that only Italian families are very scared about having gays in the family, really doesn't take into consideration the many other nationalities with the same problems. But a decent enough movie!

Star Trek Voyager - Season 6 (Slimline Edition) [DVD]
Star Trek Voyager - Season 6 (Slimline Edition) [DVD]
Dvd ~ Robert Beltran
Price: £13.00

5.0 out of 5 stars Good as ever!, 13 Jun 2009
Captain Janeway is what every captain should be, decisive, caring, takes chances (gets away with it of course)and also a bit of a romantic. Confrontations with aliens (and of course the Borgs) are my favorite shows for this season, stories of children and romantic involvements my least favorite shows. But of course, Star Trek always manages to take up fascinating philosophical discussions, and always in a sober and interesting way!

5.0 out of 5 stars Terribly, sadly good!, 13 Jun 2009
This review is from: A Love To Hide [DVD] [2005] (DVD)
How do two young gay Frenchmen carry on during world war II? This is a very good attempt of portraying this, and the actors are just beautiful! Of course, being gay at this time really isn't possible, and being sent to a concentration camp is unfortunately something one of the two main characters experiences (and survives, but only for a short time). Heart wrenching, beautiful, dramatic and for a French movie, surprisingly good (yes I am usually not a fan of French movies).
