5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 26 Aug 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
These are a brilliant toy that my child loves. They come flat-packed so you'll have to put them together yourself. The instructions, at first glance, look complicated but are actually simple to follow although ofttimes you'll wish you had three hands. If you have nimble fingers you'll have them all put together in under an hour.
The blocks are completely cardboard so there is no worrying about sharp edges or staples; in other words, there are no safety issues.
My child has thrown the blocks, jumped up and down on the blocks, launched the blocks from the window, and they have survived so well they still look new; they're incredibly robust. Plus they can be used to enhance play with other toys. Overall a brilliant toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, good quality mattress., 26 Aug 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is an excellent mattress. It feels firm to me, although other reviewers have described it as soft. Either way, it's comfortable (I've checked it out myself!). There is a breathable protective layer; the fabric is temperature regulating which pulls moisture away from the skin (I haven't checked that bit out myself!). The cover is washable and the inner liner is waterproof in case your child's nappy bursts forth during the night.
It comes packaged, for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing, in a big, blue plastic sheet which is easily penetrated with brute strength or a pair of scissors.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and jazzy, 23 Aug 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a colourful and happy toy. It's tactile, lightweight which makes it suitable for a wide range of ages. It is made of good quality material with excellent stitching making it feel robust. My child launches it all over the place and it doesn't look a day passed new.
Only one downside; it's not machine washable.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This kettle, which comes packaged in a box, is great. It looks the part, in any tasteful person's kitchen (that is to say, in any kitchen that isn't brown) and boils water up quick smart, right up to 100 degrees centigrade. Now, I don't know what more you could ask of a kettle? Looks good; boils water. Marvellous.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Colourful and easy to apply. Reaches to a good height; my child loves tracking her progress even if she hasn't made any. For those who are desperate to read about the packaging, here goes - it comes packaged in a tube so you'll have to flatten it out before you apply but only if you're into the whole flattening thing.
Anyway - Colouful = good
Easy to apply = good
Child loves it = good

4.0 out of 5 stars Works but takes a while, 19 Jun 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I didn't have need for this as I happen to like hairs on my legs; so I gave it to my sister who was very surprised by my lovely gift. Anyhow, you don't care about this little story so here's her opinion.
She says it works and is effective at removing most hairs. However, it takes about a month before you start to see a difference and you still have to do a small amount of shaving. Is that worth 300? I'll let you decide.

What a lovely toy. It's small but is perfect for children who are about 18 months. There are many things to press, open and turn and it plays tunes and speaks and makes silly noises. A wonderful toy that my daughter loved.

These are perfect baby wipes - maybe a little more expensive than others - that are soft and moist. They remove dirt with ease and are easy on baby's skin.

5.0 out of 5 stars For obsessive compulsives., 21 Mar 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a little bit of an over the top tool for people who are comfortable hanging pictures without guidance but for those who are a tad OCD, and I know a few people who simply must have their hangings level or they can't live, this is perfect. It's small (about the size of a Rubik's cube) and will project an excellent laser image onto your walls. It's easy to clamp onto most surfaces too.
Unfortunately, the cube doesn't come with a case but it's a sturdy little thing so this shouldn't be too much of an issue. You could keep it in the packaging but you will probably want to see the last of this after the wrestling match you will have had just to get inside.
It's a little on the expensive side for hanging paintings but it can be used for many other DIY jobs - shelves, painting, wallpapering - so the cost is pretty mch justified.
Overall, it makes DIY less annoying and that can't be a bad thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars missing from history, 13 Jan 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
An account of the polish uprising in Warsaw in 1944. Covers all bases from those involved on both sides to it's impact on the outcome of the war (none). This is history that is missed from general WW2 texts but it is a history that deserves to be told. Tens of thousands of people were killed and one of Europe's greatest capital cities completely destroyed.
The account is well researched (indeed, the author is related to people who were involved in the uprising and several other survivors make contributions) and well written although some parts are difficult to read. This is not a criticism; simply, some of the events are harrowing. At the end of the book's 600 or so pages I felt fairly exhausted but pleased I'd been able to add this history to my knowledge of World War 2.
