4.0 out of 5 stars Nice introduction, 13 Jun. 2011
This book provides a nice introduction to three essential technologies that run a large part of the Web today: PHP, MySQL and JavaScript. By the time you finish it, and if you know some HTML and CSS, you should be able to build a more or less dynamic website.

But keep in mind that you are only going to get started on this; beacause each one of these technologies deserve much larger books than this one to be decently explained (for example, "JavaScript: The Definitive Guide", which I am now reading, is more than 1000 pages only of JavaScript!).

I don't think any programming experience is needed to understand the contents, except for the object-orientation part of PHP, which I think can be a little rough if you have never seen this before.

PS: Not very fluent in English, so please excuse my grammar :)
