5.0 out of 5 stars I'm glad I bought this item, 10 May 2015

This is a very useful item for a keyboard with worn letters, or in my case a US keyboard on a laptop. They are a bit fiddly to use but adhere well if you clean the keys with surgical spirit before using them. They don't seem to be available elsewhere and the price and delivery was good.

5.0 out of 5 stars A marvellous book -- read it!, 22 Mar. 2015

I have read several books by Ms Trevithick and this has to be one of her most hard-hitting pieces of work. If you were 'taken in' by the incredible amount of publicity that surrounded FSoG, both the trilogy and the film, you might well find that Two Shades of a Lilac Sunset is something of an eye-opener. It is well-written, as are all Ms Trevithick's books and it carries an important message to those who have been given the wrong ideas of D/s relationships.

I can thoroughly recommend it, but if all you are looking for is literary smut you should look elsewhere; while there is some D?s material, the overall message of the book is quite different to mere titillation and 'oo-er naughtiness'.

Read it -- I am sure you will find it changes your opinions -- or gives you a new perspective on those you hold.

4.0 out of 5 stars I wouldn't have bought it had I known it was so left-wing., 12 Jan. 2015

This is an entertaining and informative book on a fascinating subject, written by someone who knows grammar well and obviously has a high regard for it. It is unfortunate that, after Chapter 7, the book becomes a vehicle for the author's political views; if you are not a card-carrying member of the left wing of the Labour party, firmly wedded to AGW and political correctness, you might be better off looking elsewhere for enlightenment.

A title that deserves a much better story, if indeed this could be called a story. Don't bother

An excellent book by a writer who is really missed. Fiction was not her 'big thing', but the fiction she did write was second to none. Thank you, Molly, and Rest in Peace.

Fear of Writing: For Writers & Closet Writers
Fear of Writing: For Writers & Closet Writers
by Milli Thornton
Edition: Paperback
Price: £8.96

4.0 out of 5 stars Read it!, 4 Nov. 2014
An amusing and inspirational work from a fine writer. The stories she used to illustrate her methods were very good and well-written. She seems to suggest that everyone is capable of writing and does much to encourage this view in a way that is entirely free of the didactic.

Sadly, although I enjoyed this book enormously, and would recommend it to anyone who aspires to write, I would say that her basic premise, that everyone can write, isn't quite the case. Try as I might, I remain terrified of the blank page or the open word-processor file and am quite unable to even begin to write. This is my case; yours, of course, may well be quite different.

Give it a try. There is little to lose, and there are three fine stories in it, whatever else there may be. Four stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for the serious aspiring writer, 23 July 2014

This is an excellent book, one I would recommend without hesitation to any writer who has experience of writing well, but finds their work a little shallow. Jodi goes out of her way to tell us pretty well all she knows about this very complex side of writing, and does it in a way that is both instructive and amusing, often illustrated with extracts of her own work and some fascinating graphics.

I would say that if you are a writer and want to be a better one, read this and learn from it; you will not be disappointed. It is, however, not a book for someone just taking his or her first steps in writing, as I am.

I am pleased to have this book in my collection and I know I shall refer to it often, and I would like to thank Ms Henley for all her hard work and encouraging words in this quite amazing piece of work.

Very well done, ma'am, and please have five stars with my good wishes.

This is pretty well a classic, and as true to Nigel Balchin's 1945 book as was possible at the time. Greta story, fine acting and very stiff-upper-lip.

I would recommend this excellent film to anyone who enjoys old B&W films.

5.0 out of 5 stars A marvellous read!, 1 April 2014

I read the first of Rosen's 'Granny' books a while ago and I thought it was so funny it just couldn't be followed; how wrong I tuned out to be! Betty, an innocent grandmother who happens to have written smash hit erotic novel almost by accident finds herself the centre of a whole new lot of adventures, all of which are her doing yet somehow not her fault!

These books are so very funny, so well-written and wholesome - yes, wholesome; read these and you will never look at erotica in quite the same way again!

Thank you, Rosen, and please keep writing; your wonderful imagination is a joy - oh, and you should ask a little more for your work ;) ! It is worth it.
