Good Value for Money, 9 Dec 2011
The mats fitted perfectly. The quality is not deluxe, but who cares, they are only car mats & the purchase provided value for money. Importantly, they do not slip about under the driver's feet.

Cheap and nasty!, 21 Nov 2011
I thought I had bagged a bargin when I purchase this, unfortunately, you get what you pay for. I have only had this mat a couple of weeks and it is already discoloured and refuses to lay flat,as soon as anybody uses the bath or shower and it comes into contact with hot water it bunches up and becomes dangerous. I have tried everything, making sure the bath is absolutely clean, smoothing it down firmly, all to no avail. It will be going in the bin as soon as I can replace it. I did not buy it from Amazon.

What a great first novel, 24 Oct 2011
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
Have always admired Ulrika for not taking any notice of the undeserved negative media that seems to follow her around.I was interested to explore her writing style when I saw this book. For a first novel it is well written and you really feel for the characters, sadness for Myrtle and her shattered dreams, even the awful Gillian! I hope there will be a sequel which looks at what Myrtle and the rest of her family do next. I thought it would make a great mini series!! It is not really my type of novel, I prefer thrillers like Kathy Reichs but I could not put it down.

Not one for the faint hearted., 16 Sep 2011
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
'The Lion Wakes', somewhat slowly! The initial 60 pages are a nightmare, for there is no continuity. Robert Low skips about from character to character and place to place. Thereafter, after Mr. Low has set the scene the continuity is there and makes for better reading. Not easy reading, for the use of the 14th century Scottish brogue/dialect dictates the pace of reading. Fortunately I live in N.W. Durham and many of these words are part of our 'tongue', even so I often had to read the spoken word out aloud to myself to get the understanding. Robert Low's research is exacting and accurate, in particular the battle scenes and the use of armour, horses and weaponry; an armoured horse & knight ploughing through the ranks could inflict as much damage as a WW1 tank ploughing its way through infantry. I was also reminded of the damage that the invading Scottish armies inflicted on NW Durham in the 13th & 14th centuries. Most of the action takes place in the Lothians and it was interesting to read medieval place names set into their landscape context. As a consequence I actually visited Roslin last weekend. There is unfortunately much repetition, in particular the colourful descriptions of the lack of hygiene and sanitation: I felt that there was no need for this constant reminder. Not an easy read, but worth the effort: the end of the story was too sudden.

Great Fathers Days Gift, 25 Aug 2011
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
A great gift for fathers day. My Father really enjoyed it being a great cricket fan. As it was not for me and I didn't listen to it, not sure what else I can add. Arrived quickly and in good condition

Could be better, 12 July 2011
I purchased this as recommended by the Open University. Unfortunately in order for it to fit under my sofa I have to have it pulled right out. Also the lip on the bottom is not quite wide enough to stop thick files and books slipping off.

Enjoyable 'chick lit', 6 April 2011
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
I am not usually a fan of 'chick lit'but did really enjoy this book. It was well written and I did start to care about the characters. It was a bit predictable in places but as a piece of light, undemanding reading I was hooked. I would recommend it for holiday reading as it is fairly undemanding and you can just dip and out as you wish. Not great literature, but who cares, Fern Britton shows a lightness of touch, a good eye for the development of charcters and the slightly dark side of fame and recognition is obviously written from experiance. Look forward to the next one.
