4.0 out of 5 stars decent product that's user friendly., 26 Mar 2014
Used this before. Srp is a very mild cutting polish. Cutting rating around one out ten. So its kind to modern paints.

This is more of a cleaner and filler polish. To be used to decent paint. If your paint is dull or flat meguiars ultimate compound is a better bet first.

This stuff goes on really easy with a pad and if left long enough will fill minor in perfections in the clear coat.

For dazzling results wax afterwards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably one of the best industrial albums of the decade., 26 Mar 2014
This review is from: Wish Upon A Blackstar (Audio CD)
I say " industrial" but really this album is much more than that. Many years in the making the sixteen songs on here span many many types of music. Dance techno dupstep rock metal emo to name quite a few.

There are two main things that stand out on this epic monster of an album. Firstly is the production quality is fantastic, I used to think nin and Depeche mode knew how to produce. This guy takes it to another level.

Secondly is the songwriting. Almost all sixteen songs are well crafted and it's not all verse chorus verse. There's some clever song structures here.

Overall I prefer this to his debut, it's just better produced and flows really nice. If this guy carries on at this level bands like nine inch nails and Depeche mode better watch out, there's a new kid on the block with new ideas. Ideas that if people get the chance to hear i'm sure they will be surprised and impressed.

For fans of : nin, gravity kills, god lives underwater, filter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Is this an all time low for trent ? thankfully not., 25 Mar 2014
This review is from: Hesitation Marks (Audio CD)
Let's get one thing clear, nin have never hit the high benchmarks set by " the fragile" or " downward spiral" and quite frankly it's not up to a band who have been around since I was six to carry the flag for industrial music.

Anyways onto trents latest offering of digital rock punishment. First thing that hit me is this album almost feels simple and lacking texture and layers of sound that nine inch nails fans adore , however after a few listens you realize there is plenty to soak up. Over time.

Singles " came back haunted" and copy of a " are a good start to proceedings. Both are catchy and we'll written. The latter is probably the best thing trent has written for a decade.

" find my way " is a slow burner and a nice change of pace. " all time low " is a big surprise, trent takes on funk. Thankfully he wins. Next to catch the eye is " everything" closest thing to a pop song nin have ever aattempted. " satellite " and "in two " both have epic moments. I can't bur help smile when the guitar kicks in on satellite. And the end guitar solo on in two is devine.

If you like nin buy it. Beware though if you want a decent booklet and lyrics buy the deluxe version.

I absolutely hate drying the car. You either miss bits or whatever you use either causes annoying micro swirls or simply stops drying properly.

This changes all the above. I have an average sized car ( Vw polo ) and it is waxed and I take the spray off the home to sheet the water away. All the above help with the drying process.

One of these almost dries the entire car. Almost. Only downside is once it's saturated it's unless, these don't ring out well. I have two and simply wash and tumble dry them, making these very good value.

If you hate drying your car after washing buy 2 of these, you will never look back.

1.0 out of 5 stars horrible. liquid sandpaper., 25 Mar 2014
Thankfully I tried this out on a part of internal paintwork that is not seen.

This product claims to use " diminishing abrasives" however I followed the instructions and all I got was a ton of clear coat haze like after using say 1200 grit paper. Horrible.

If you have a faint clear coat scratch please please try something else instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars smells like liquid candy., 25 Mar 2014
Seriously this stuff should come with a health warning. My human nature tells me I should drink this stuff it smells so nice.

Anyway onto the serous stuff. Is this the best overall everyday car shampoo on the market ? Probably. Having used autoglym and mer ultimate for years I have to say this is superb. Leaves no nasty streaks like mer ultimate shampoo, however mer lifts dirt slightly better. Here's a few top tips to a flawless wash.

1. Hose car.
2. Have a bucket of cold water and a wash mitt ready.
3. Have a bucket of warm water with 2 cups of shampoo added. Stir.
4. Wash car top to bottom, washing shampoo off as you go.
5. Here's the iimportant bit, remove nozzle from hose and allow water to sheet over the car. This helps with drying.
6. Use 2 meguiars water magnet cloths to dry the car. Use a water blade to avoid streaky windows.

Stand back and admire, seems a ton of work reading this review, in truth it takes me about 35 minutes, well worth the effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you have swirl marks, you will love this., 25 Mar 2014
Got this as part of the new car kit from boyes in york. Bargain at 19.99. Anyway this is great for cleaning the car, if used with the 2 bucket method and working top to bottom with a decent shampoo, ( meguiars ultimate or mer ultimate) it can really help reduce the risk of swirl marks that blight modern clear coat paints.

Like all meguiars items it's a quality product and should last a while if you wash and hang out to dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best car product ever used., 6 Jun 2013
So i decided to smarten up my 8 month old Toyota in metallic black last weekend. The car was sold with "supagurd" product applied.I was right to be skeptical.

The finish that Tech wax produces is way better than anything else. My car looks better now than it did when i picked it up from Toyota last October.

This product covers and fills minor scratches in the clear coat of your paint, and fills/masks swirl marks that effect darker colored cars, this is the first product i have ever used that does this well. Ideal if you are selling your car for example.

Dos: ~Apply one panel at a time
~Have 2 separate cloths for each panel after the wax is applied
~ Use the handy foam pad included
~ Check car afterwards for any wax left on and remove with a clean cloth
Don't: ~ Apply in direct sunlight or in heat.
~ leave water marks after the car is washed.
~ Use dirty old cloths.

And that's it. Well worth the money i just hope the super gloss shine lasts.

4.0 out of 5 stars First electric mower for 15 years. Surprised., 5 May 2013
After my Mountfield petrol gave up the ghost after 8 years service i needed a new mower but on a budget. I wanted a Honda petrol but these are £300+.

I have around 2 tennis courts to cut (my house and my mums around the corner) so i was convinced i needed a Petrol, however i was wrong. The rotak is a breeze to put together and within 5 mins i was mowing.

1400W power is good, comparable to the poorer petrol mowers i would say,37cm cutting width is decent and the light weight means slopes are a breeze.

Only negatives are height adjustment lever can be hard to move, and the rotak feels flimsy in places and only time will tell if this matters.

Overall if you have a small to medium lawn and don't want to spend a small fortune, this mower is a great choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars 12 years on. Still makes me smile., 14 April 2013
This review is from: From Here to Infirmary (Audio CD)
Is it wrong i listened to this album every day for months after hearing stupid kid? Is it wrong that after 12 years and approaching my 30th birthday i still adore this record? Is it wrong i play this in the car at an insane volume? Certainly not.

This was my first Trio album and i still think it's the best overall. It's well produced, well rounded and most importantly the songs are very very strong. No filler here.

So the album starts off with "private eye" with it's distinctive guitar riff and menacing lyrics "Maybe someday ill find me a suspect with no ali-by" Classic Matt Skibka.

Next is "Mr chainsaw" not only the best song on the album but possibly the best song the Trio have ever written. I love the pace, fury and passion on this one. It almost feels the song could never end, lyrics are genius too.

Obviously "stupid kid" most people have heard,it's short and sweet. The perfect single. Other highlights include the clever "You're dead" the Aggressive "armageddon" and the UK bonus track "Hell yes".

I like how if you Put "Greenday" and "A fire inside" into a blender this is the result. It's not pop-punk,but it's not too gothic either. The songs never seem forced either, everything sounds from the heart and i love them for this. It's dark but catchy at the same time, maybe that's what makes Alkaline trio special.

Buy this CD and play it to everyone you know. I bet Grannies/toddlers alike will smile,it's that good. 4.5/5
