5.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative, 6 Nov. 2007
This review is from: The Myth of Sanity (Paperback)
This book was very helpful in learning about dissociative states. Something that everybody experiences. It was a real eye-opener for me, and helped me to understand myself to a much higher degree.

This is a "must read" for anyone who is interested in, not only learning about the behaviors of others, but in their own behaviors as well.

And, as usual, Martha Stout's writing style is such that it is easy to understand and interesting to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enchanting, 6 Nov. 2007
This review is from: Shores of Avalon (Audio CD)
Tina Malia has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I ordered this CD on a whim and it has made Tina Malia my favorite vocalist.

And her songs are very inspirational.

An introduction to Gurdjieff's Third series 'Life is real only then, when "I am"'
An introduction to Gurdjieff's Third series 'Life is real only then, when "I am"'
by John G. Bennett
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars One must 'see' to understand, 6 Nov. 2007
This book, as all of Gurdjieff's works, are meant to make you 'think'. There are a many great gems in this book. However, like a great 4th Way teacher, he doesn't just hand them out like candy. You have to have the eyes to 'see'.

This book answered many questions for me, it was a great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not only interesting but fun!, 6 Nov. 2007
This book was just as much fun to read as it was informative. To actually get to 'meet' the "remarkable men" that accompanied Gurdjieff on his quests to find 'truth' was, well, remarkable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece, 5 Nov. 2007
This is a masterpiece. It shows Gurdjieff's sense of humor as he imparts an enormous amount of wisdom and truths in this book. And, as he suggests, it should be read more than once to actually get all out of it that can be gotten.

To read it carefully, and with thought will show you just what 'man' is really all about, and so much more.

Darkness Over Tibet (Mystic Travellers Series)
Darkness Over Tibet (Mystic Travellers Series)

5.0 out of 5 stars Mysterious and thought provoking, 5 Nov. 2007
After reading about this book on various different sites, I thought that I would get a copy and have at it. And I am glad that I did.

This is the type of book, that for me is hard to put down. It carries within it's covers, mystery, intrigue, magic, and I think a lot of truth. It seems to show what is really going on behind some of the religious sects there are proliferating now in the world.

Illion demonstrates that just because a group may seem to be aligned with the 'light', it is not always the case as one delves deeper into the hierarchy that ultimately runs the show. Joining blindly with a group without first learning all that there is to learn about them, can literally lead you down a path to oblivion.

This book has a lot to offer to those who have an open mind.
