5.0 out of 5 stars the most moving, emotional and awesome WW2 film ever, 14 Oct 2004
This series just thororoughly brings home the sacrifices the men of easy company had to endure and go thorugh during the war.
The episodes at bastogne and "why we fight" are particualry harrowing but at the same time you never want to turn off.
You feel like you are a part of Easy Company whilst watching and as if you know the characters well.
A must buy, even if you're not into other war films this box set will impress and at times, upset you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Different but bloody good, 22 Jun 2004
This review is from: Up At The Lake (Audio CD)
The Charlatans have beena round for a long time now and always seem to produce consistently good albums. This one is no different. The single "Up at the lake" opens up the album with an up tempo beat and a good melody.
"Feel the pressure" is next up and is probably the fastest and upbeat song on the album, certianly one to get ya dancing and singng along to in the car and was a live favourite at the recent shows.
The album slows downa bit through to the end but the beautiful "Loving you is easy" is a majestic and heart warming song, a true slow emotional love song. Also Tim on backing vocals is wierd but a welcome change.
"Try again today" is a typical Charlatans, a good tuen, the lyrics are meaningful and it gets your foot tapping.
Definitely worth a buy, go and buy it now!

4.0 out of 5 stars BRMC Top drawer, 31 Oct 2003
From 1st song Stop to the end of this album the sheer class of the tunes just blows you away. The Strokes may grab all the attention but BRMC are the real class band to come out of the US.
In Like The Rose is just pure chemistry, we're all in love is immense and and Stop is one of the singles of the year.
If you like your rock n roll then BRMC is the album to get this year.
Pure class
