One of the arms snapped on its maiden flight when it crashed. I superglued it together and then took it out the day after. It crashed and this time two arms were broken off, one of them snapping the wire too. My nephew had some kind of remote control helicopter which crashed much more often than this quadcopter, yet it always worked again. So I'm pretty disappointed. Half the problem is that because of its shape, it's tricky to know which way it is facing. Sure, the rotors are different colours but once they're spinning, they're a blur. Sure, there's an arrow on it, but that's on the top, and once its in the air.... well you can figure out the problem for yourself. So on both occasions that I crashed it, it was heading for a tree and I couldn't get it turning correctly. My own fault arguably, but it really ought to have handled both impacts. It's like the plastic used is too brittle, it should be able to bend a little without breaking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but soon looks tatty, 24 Oct. 2013

The book itself is good and my lad tells me that the content is good and interesting (he's 7yo). However, the gold lettering on the front lasts about 10 minutes before it starts to wear off!

It's a reasonable keyboard but come on, £80+ for a bluetooth keyboard? This should be £40 at the most. The tablet itself can be bought brand new for less than £300 these days.

How to be Good
How to be Good
by Nick Hornby
Edition: Paperback

1.0 out of 5 stars Utter drivel, 14 Oct. 2010
This review is from: How to be Good (Paperback)
It has dreary yet unrealistic characters (David's sudden complete change of character after spending two days with GoodNews is never satisfactorily explained), and completely unrealistic character interactions.

It has a dreary plot that never goes anywhere. Weak subplots that serve only to be pointless and timewasting misdirections and a pacing that is as leaden-footed as it is stop-start. A real lack of structure and what at first appears to be an epilogue dribbles on like a roadkill wishing to be put out of its misery.

The plot is utterly tissue thin and I'm amazed that Hornby could have been sat at home thinking that it made a good idea for an entire novel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book, I'm forever recommending it, 8 Feb. 2010

I'd very readable because you don't have to be next to a PC doing stuff with it. It's all about best practices for software development in the *real* world. I wish I could force all my colleagues to read it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Too loud!, 8 Feb. 2010
I bought this watch as a cheap way of timing my intervals between sets in the gym. The countdown with a configurable start time seemed ideal, so I could set it to a minute, do a set, then press "go", and watch the countdown. However, when it gets to zero it makes such a high pitched beepy-beep about it that I'd surely get punched by the other people in the gym after only a few goes. There seemed to be no way to turn this off, so back to the shop it must go!
