1.0 out of 5 stars Done and dusted and left somewhat bored, 6 Sep 2011
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
having waited since I got my PS3 for a rugby game to come out I was eager with anticipation for this one. not being one for online play I have pretty much done it all within about two days of buying the thing, without losing a game (albeit as the All Blacks but I am a Kiwi).

The game play is all right, but there are no changes from the PS2 of any note and the lack of any league play is disappointing. Being a rugby nut was tempted to go out buy a PS2 and play Rugby 2008, much better game.

Have since seen there is another rugby game coming out called Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge, have put it on pre-order and am waiting with perhaps a bit of anxiety now.

Basically if you are thinking about buying a rugby game, wait till Challenge comes out and check out the reviews of that.

Now go out there and enjoy the World cup, lets hope for some good rugby and may the best team win.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids delight, 5 April 2006
This review is from: Nora's Dinners (Paperback)
As with most of us, I first saw Nora in the TV show Jamie's School Dinners, and the theme from that show of making school dinners more healthy for the nations children has been passed on to this book, but this time focusing on our own kitchen. Looking at getting kids into the kitchen and cooking for themselves it starts by giving the basic knowledge of whats what with colourful descriptions of vegetables, herbs, and cooking implements, then gets into some mouth-watering dishes that the little ones love. From a healthy and tasty stir fry to the fun and sweet ice lollies. All recipes are easy to follow for all children and great for us big kids starting out in the kitchen (and I can think of a few that need this!). Great book for inspiring kids and adults alike in the kitchen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to the Country, 3 Mar 2006
This review is from: A Taste of the Country (Hardcover)
Having followed Jimmy's adventures for some time now with the TV series Jimmy's Farm, and his first book "On the Farm", I have been continually fascinated by his passion for nature, and the massive task he took on as a virtual novice to convert a derelict farm to a successful working pig farm.
This book continues to express his fervour for all things natural and organic, and combines some simple mouthwatering recipes such as the delectable sea bass with wild fennel, with hands on guides for growing your own veges, or building a campfire. As an ex country boy this strikes a cord and I am sure it will with all, so pick up a copy then head down to his farm and check out the real life for yourselves.
