5.0 out of 5 stars AWSOME!!!, 20 Sept. 2011
This review is from: Faces of War (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
This is the best WW2 game I have ever played! If you are into WW2 and have time to think about strategic moves rather than simply 'blow em up!' then this is the game for you. You can play the Germans, Ruskies, or Allies, and all the missions are fantastic, from sabotage to tank warfare, it's all good! The weapons and tanks are all accurate -Tiger II, Sherman Firefly etc, Bren guns, MP40s it's all here! The settings are superb, ranging from snow-covered wastes to urban warzones, with fully destructable buildings and landscape. You can zoom in and out of the player map, and take control of mostly everything. The sound is awsome too, explosions, machine gun fire, cannon fire, and screams of panic and pain! When playing some missions, it is possible (and needed) to just wait about and look around, rather then rushing in, as the AI is very good, and enemy soldiers seem to learn, and get curious if you're lurking too close to their base. Hit and run tactics are good here too, as there is little to no re-spawning off screen. This is a very good game and takes you into the frenzy of the firefight. It is easy to get caught up in it and play for hours...even days!

3.0 out of 5 stars Folk metal ?, 10 April 2006
This review is from: Where Twilight Dwells (Audio CD)
I thought this band would be heavier, not to say I don't like it, I do, but in a folky way.
I hadn't listened to these guys before, so bought the album on a whim. It is good and different, steering away from bands such as Nightwish and Leaves Eyes. It is more like Lumsk, melodic and sofly sung. It would be right at home played around a mid-summers bon-fire with ale and wine, relaxing but with a few heavier numbers in there to make you jump!
I would call 'Midnight-Sun' Scandinavian Folk Metal.
Worth a try, and grows on you.

5.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER LACUNA TRIUMPH!!!, 10 April 2006

Firstly, if you like Comalies you'll love this! It seems to simply continue where the last album left off, going from one GREAT song to the next. Christina's vocals are mezmerising amidst the low under-the-surface keyboards and full on heavy guitars! Each song has its own appeal, and the bass-lines shake everything in speaker-shot! Listen to it loud and with full bass to really know what I mean!!!
At present I still prefer Comalies, but this will soon take over I'm sure. The songs are well written, performed and sung, diving through a pool of different emotions, and to top it all off at the end...there is a FANTASTIC cover of Depesch Mode's "Enjoy the Silence" which is one for the goth clubs!!
Simply put, if you're into the Coil, then buy it!
If you're new to the Coil, it's a good album to start with!

5.0 out of 5 stars FROM GOOD- TO GREAT!!!, 3 Dec. 2005
This review is from: Ten Thousand Fists (Audio CD)
There's only a few words to say about this album, thus saving the reader needless waffle about this and that. This new album from the Disturbed boys is amazing! It builds in strength as it progresses through songs, leaving the listener craving more, and then delivering the goods with force! The songs are very well written and performed, real music!!!
If you liked the last album, you will LOVE this one!
This band are reaching new powerful heights and need to be checked out!
Oh...and my few words are- Mind-blowing, emotional, forceful, and loud!!!
Ten thousand fists in the air indeed!
