Commando
by Deneys Reitz
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Gripping, 17 Dec. 2010
This review is from: Commando (Paperback)
Commando is really an excellent book, in two ways. As a work of history, relevant for my dissertation, its very useful, in depth and accurate. However, as a book to read, its better, its interesting, gripping and excellently written. Would recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Give it a try and you'll be pleasantly surprised!, 14 Jan. 2009
C&C Red Alert 3 had a lot to live up to, purely because it is the sequel to Red Alert 2, a hugely successful game still played by many. If you actually play the game instead of worrying about DRM all the time you'll realise it's a great successor. The DRM is annoying true, but it only online activates once when you install the game, which is not too painful. With the latest patches a DRM de-authorisation tool is included, which allows the owner to release it from one computer then install it on another. The DRM issue just isn't that major!

Once you actually play it its great. A great cast, with the likes of Tim Curry, George Takei and Gemma Atkinson. The style fits, and its kitsch and funny like the others. Simply put, its a very playable and enjoyable. Nobody likes DRM, but depriving yourself of a good game won't make it go away!

3.0 out of 5 stars E.H Carr, a great thinker, 7 Aug. 2008
EH Carr was a great thinker, and in this series of lectures published in What Is History he tackles deep philosophical questions with a wit and intelligent investigation that is difficult to dislike. A bit wordy in places, and a bit mind boggling in others, What Is History is still thought provoking and interesting, just as it should be.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good song, 7 Aug. 2008
This review is from: Did I Say That (Audio CD)
Did I Say That is a great song, and the b side of Decedent Wish is an awesome song, but the edit of Did I Say That cuts out too much. A much better option would be to just buy the Couldn't Have Said It Better album.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible after a while, 7 Aug. 2008
This is an attractive looking MP3 player from a good manufacturer, at an eye-catching price, and seems too good to be true. That's because it is! This seems and sounds like a decent item, but within a month is tarnished, damaged and ugly, showing up the terrible build quality. The built in bluetooth should be a defining feature of this player, but is difficult to connect, and then the general reception and playback of bluetooth is terrible. The menu system is shoddily designed as the scroll speed is unchangeable and deathly slow. My advice to you all, don't buy this!
