As a student it is frustrating how many sociolinguistic books fail to live up to the standards they claim to, not even covering such pillar principles as the Sapir Whorf hypothesis. However, i found this book encompasses evrything you need to know from the introduction of terms and principles to case studies of importance.
A must-have for all budding sociolinguists!
