If you have any sort of medical condition such as thyroid or heart, check with your doctor before using this tea - it can make you quite poorly!
There is little out on the internet, but an American University medical site verified why I was feeling increasing ill after using this tea for a number of days. Apart from that, a nice tasting tea!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not What It Seems!, 20 Jun 2014

Look at the word "concise"! This is not the good, well edited versions done by Gerald Peterman in the early 1990's. There is a vast quantity of good material from Matthew Henry missing from this. No doubt good a s a "taster" but I fear it is not a patch on the original or 1990's edition. Sadly, the Christian world is dumbing-down even the "classic" works down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, Lasting Commentary, 20 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a sensitively edited "shorter" commentary, as opposed to the original 6 volume series. Peterman has kept the nuances and original flow of Henry, retaining the delightful turns of phrase that make it a good tool for devotional use for the common lay-man. Whilst, due to the age when this was originally written, there will be seemingly archaic ideas, they still add to the overall solid helpful, material contained in it.

Sadly now out-of-print and seems to have been replaced by the "concise" type which is a travesty of Matthew Henry's excellent work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 7 May 2014

Bought this for my daughter having chosen it from a number of similar tittles on offer. The review by Jeff Walmsley sums up the contents so well. It is a beautiful book with lots of lovely photos and good ideas in it. Makes an ideal present for anyone wanting to use garden containers in an attractive way. I have already bought another one as a gift for a friend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Performance, 7 May 2014

I chose this product as it was amongst the most expensive on offer and I therefore assumed it would be good quality. The fabric is thin and flimsy and does not absorb much water. Despite my adult daughter having a fairly small head, the towel is not an adequate fit - it tends to slide off after being buttoned up. Disappointing quality and performance all round.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works For The UK!, 13 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have read a number of this type of book over the years and they have left me frustrated that "I can't do this - it's too hard to change this much in my life/house!" So many American "how-to" books are frustrating because they don't really "work" over here in the UK - this one does!

The style in simple and uncluttered, Marcia doesn't drown you in information, but what she does tell you is eminently usable. The chapters address each subject logically and with client examples of a problem to be sorted, such as meal planning and clean-up, then ideas as to ways to do it better followed by questions to apply to your own situation. I have already managed to see where my time goes and realize that the cry of "I don't have enough time!" is false, as by using a simple chart in the book, with 168 hours a week is quite a lot of time! I have been able see where my time is used and how much I actually have left and therefore can "harness" for other projects, chores etc.

As some of the American reviewers have said, there is a Christian content, but it is by no means intrusive to the content or usefulness of the book and shouldn't be a block to folk who don't want to read "that bit" as they are at the end of each chapter.

I think that most women will find this an excellent starting point to time-management and getting a smoother running house. Good for those just starting to run a house, younger Mums, and older folk like me who are still asking: why don't I have enough time?

The New Panorama Bible Study Course
The New Panorama Bible Study Course
by Alfred Thompson Eade
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Overview of the Story in the Bible, 7 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a beautifully illustrated chronological time-line of the events of the Bible, all in black and white, with a red line running through the pictures showing the line of redemption to Jesus. The only draw-back is it is heavily dispensational, hence only four stars. It is such a shame that it is no longer in print as I'm sure resourceful teacher and pastors could make good use of it.

Excellent!I bought this as I was having an Op on my hand so opening tins would be a struggle to say the least! It is easy to use and easy to clean. I can see this becoming a permanent feature rather than just temporary help-mate.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Than Just An Atlas, 7 Feb 2014

This is an excellent resource for both the serious Bible student and anyone who loves maps and atlases. I particularly like the fact that there is decent text describing the map and what the historical implications were at that time and how the event fits in with th Bible. The quality of both the maps and the photos to illustrate a place are extremely good. I can see this being a resource I will use for many years to come.

Radical Womanhood: Feminine Faith in a Feminist World
Radical Womanhood: Feminine Faith in a Feminist World

Price: £9.29

5.0 out of 5 stars Eye-opening History Lesson!, 3 Nov 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is an excellent book that carefully maps the rise and history of Feminism, all be it with an American bias. It is shocking how much influence the Feminist movement have had, not just "out there" in the world but subtly in the church too. This is a well written and disturbing book. It shows just how far we've gone in the search for "freedom" and how much we, as women, have unwittingly sacrificed to gain this elusive prize - our homes, husband and children have all to some extent been sacrificed in the name of "feminism".

Carolyn McCulley has written from a knowledgeable slant - she was deeply involved in Feminism herself - so the information is accurate and up to date.
