5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, 19 Aug. 2014

Great price and product. Should last a lot longer than the cheap Chinese ones I have bought in the past.
Doesn't come with a dashboard mount but will just use one from another holder I already have and this will stick to it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works as it should but not worth the full asking price, 26 Jun. 2013

I wanted this for the beach and it has done well. Took it under water and no problems at all. Worked on the beach too. I would recommend 720p at 60fps as turning on the spot with 1080p mode it seems to not like it. Also the video seems zoomed in when in 720p vs 1080p, but that seems to improve stabilisation.

Pictures came out well on the beach in Cuba, photos that we probably would not have had if we were trying to protect our non waterproof camera from the water.

The video cuts out ever 29 minutes.

The supplied battery lasts just over an hour when I was recording in 720p - Took 2 full 29 minute videos and about 10 more minutes.

Main bad points I would say is the screen is very difficult to see in bright sunlight, and 1080p clips being at a low 30fps causing hiccups when panning. Oh and also using the optical zoom when recording in silent you can hear the mechanism moving, obviously not when on the beach or similar places.

There is noise present in photos, but the point of the camera is not to replace your proper day to day camera, but to have an option to take something into the water I would say. Saying that, as the other half was using the main camera, I did take a few shots with this one when walking about doing a tour in Havana. A few of the photos are blurred unfortunately, and so I would say video is better than photos with this device.

I am rating it 3 stars at the full price, however at the bargain price I paid (less than half used) it is a 5 out of 5, especially as it has a higher rating than most cameras at this price point.

Placing this review as even I was finding it difficult to get more information on the camera.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not many memorable tracks, 26 Jun. 2013

Quite a poor cd really, a few good tracks but for someone like me who can't understand Spanish, but like the Reggaeton style, this was not really worth the purchase even though it was at a bargain price.

Works as described, great design and quality. Cat loves chasing it and fighting with it.
Loses one star due to the price, could be a little cheaper.

Didn't pay much for this, less than £4 delivered and the quality was great. Used it on honeymoon.
Will last a few more holidays without breaking the bank. Recommended

Very nice design, click the top for the usb port to push through or press it again and it closes like a pen, build quality is good.

Worst part is the write speeds being about 5MB/s.... Read speeds were 43MB/s.

Write speeds are slower than my USB 2.0 sticks that I have in the house!

Sending back as faulty, slower than my cheap unbranded USB 3.0 64GB stick that gets 35MB/s write!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great camera, will hold onto for years to come, 19 Nov. 2010
I moved from a Sony Alpha A100 to a NEX-5 and am very impressed. Pictures look better in terms of sharper images and colour reproduction. Haven't found anything wrong with them at all. Higher iso in low light is very good, specially with the hand-held twilight function. Was able to take an in-focus photo at night, on a boat moving one way whilst another moving in the opposite direction, the camera picked it up no problems with me holding it steady blur free.
The screen gives extra info and tips but I think the fact that you can see what it is doing and how the shot will look has already helped me take better photos than with the A100.

Negatives I have found so far is the fact that all new accessories are required, for example a smaller bag to carry in, new filters, etc, which can get costly. The larger zoom lens costs more than this dual lens kit!
The 1080 video recording has excellent picture and sound quality but I did notice that after about 50 minutes of recording with stop/start in-between the camera showed the high temperature logo on the screen and then later shut off so I had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down.
Battery life has suffered to make the camera smaller. The 1050mah battery is capable of half the shots compared to the A100 cameras 1800mah battery. So have already had to purchase a spare one just incase.
Lastly the charger that comes with the camera seems slow, at least slower than the A100 as the instructions tell me that it takes a full 4 hours to charge it up to full capacity if it is dead. Even my mobile phone at 1500mah takes less than half that!

Overall best camera I have ever had, and will be selling my older ones but a few niggles above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great price and speed, 19 Nov. 2010
Bought this for my Sony NEX-5 and 1080 HD video recording works fine with it. Was getting over 18mb/s read and 13mb/s write speeds.

One thing to note is that if you don't unmount it correctly in Windows 7 then the next time you plug it in or insert it into the pc then a message that your card might be corrupt appears if you want to scan and fix it or to just browse the content. I know that this is standard in some way but it happens all the time with this card, compared to my 8GB Transcend card and any others. It's just a small niggle but the price, size and speeds make up for it.

I used a program called h2testw v1.4 to read/write onto all 32GB of the card to test its integrity and had no error messages. Bear in mind it takes hours to go over the whole 32GB/s.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good laptop but could have been great, 29 Oct. 2010
Had this laptop for a month now and it is pretty good.

Pros:
-Great screen with added bonus of the touchscreen
-i3 processor is pretty nippy
-Great trackpad
-Unique case
-Remote control for media player, can be stored in the express card slot
-Matching wallpaper and bag [as the casing]
-Upwards facing speakers
-Dual gpu, allows me to play F1 2010 on low settings or Left For Dead 1 and 2 on medium settings on dedicated GPU
-Volume slider function
-dvd writer built in
-Both onboard and dedicated GPU's can handle 1080p
-Wifi N
-Built in multicard reader
-Powerful enough for video editing
-Dual microphones and led light with webcam
-Finding replacement battery is easy
-Fingerprint reader
-Standard battery and extended battery available to purchase

Cons:
-Heavier than my previous Asus UL30a and Samsung Q330 - both 13.3" laptops
-Battery life is about 3 hours with wifi on and power saving mode, should have come with a bigger battery
-Keyboard is fine but not as good as the Asus UL30a and Samsung Q330 floating keyboards
-Volume slider lights do not show volume level and are static
-Smaller hard drive than some of the competition - 250GB, should be 320GB
-3GB RAM - Would have been better at 4GB
-HP light on top of case is bright and needs to be covered if you leave on overnight
-Windows 7 32bit comes with the laptop - Luckily there is a program that allows you to make a backup of your activation, so was able to install the 64bit version and restore the activation afterwards - check notebookreviews forum for more info on that

Hopefully thats everything

Sony Walkman NWZ-S639FB 16GB Drag & Drop MP4 Video Player with FM Tuner - Black

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb sound quality, 13 Feb. 2009
I have had many mp3 players in the last 4-5 years and this is the best sounding one out of all of them. I even compared it with the 3rd gen Ipod Nano's and the sound quality blew that away as well... Battery life is great too as well as the quick charge time. The supplied earphones are top of the range and sound it, the player is slim and lightweight, but feels solid in your hands even which clicking the buttons. Price keeps changing but approx. £90 for 16GB of memory is pretty cheap compared to the competition that can't even match it's sound quality. Yes the sound quality is that good, will put other players to shame and that is the single most important thing for a music player. Software, well there is no SonicStage so that is a plus already, you just use Windows Media Player.

The only 3 bad things I would say are that the usb cable is not generic and is a special cable you need to use to charge it and that the screen is not big enough to watch anything for longer than 45 minutes without eye strain, although the picture quality is superb. Also accessories are hard to come by for example protectors and speakers.
