This review is from: All I Want (Kindle Edition)
A short story, so very poignant. Beautifully crafted by a sympathetic authoress. This tale could be the basis of a great book.

The concluding book of a set of four, each one equally gripping. Each book difficult to put down. It is worth noting that this author has written another book, Daisy's War set in 1914 New Zealand and Australia.

Part of a set of four books, each following the life and times of a family in New Zealand. Another well written and enthralling novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping tale., 22 Nov 2014

Loved this book so much I had to read the remainder of the series. The author has the knack of bringing alive the situation and with just a few words can bring to mind the various landscapes in which the book is set.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for ideas, 22 Nov 2014

I like this book, easy to read and covers a large range of floorings. Sadly, because of that large range it lacks a little in detail for the real novice floor layer.

5.0 out of 5 stars An essential piece of kit., 22 Nov 2014

This very novice motorcyclist has had Haynes manuals for cars in the past and always been happy with the detail and information contained within. This manual doesn't disappoint and provides a step by step guide to just about every job - some of which I will do myself. Starting with the history and development of the Honda motorcycle is a bonus. The advice given on the necessity for the correct tool for the job is essential and frequently overlooked. Pictorial images and diagrams should make errors almost impossible. Well maintained machinery is also safe to use and this manual I consider a very essential piece of kit.

These bars arrived very promptly and were very well packaged. They are of extremely good quality and feel substantial but not heavy. The finishing is superb, no jagged edges or poor paintwork. There is a small manufacturers logo plate on each bar which also appears to be of good quality and doesn't detract from the appearance at all. The fit is perfect and all nuts and bolts were present and correct. These bars have added to the appearance of my bike and I am confident that in the event of an unfortunate incident, will protect it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Puts 'flesh' on the bones of recorded history., 8 Sep 2014

Recorded within these pages is the sad truth that, within a few years of this information being recorded, some of the stones had become too weathered to read. This indicates the value of this book whose data was collected in 1797, well over two hundred years ago.
It is a slim volume, without an index for very reasonable reasons given in the book. There is also an acknowledgement of the likelihood of 'typos' but one has the opportunity to download a free book and the web address for this is given.
The real value of this small book for the amateur genealogist is it is now possible to gain an insight into the relationships within families within the community. As a bonus, sometimes extra information is given as to the manner of death and occupation.
