5.0 out of 5 stars Great little charger!, 12 Dec. 2014
Great little charger! Perfect size for carrying around for those low-battery warning panic moments. Simple design and packaging, worked just as described and arrived very prompty... definitely getting a few of these as stocking fillers for friends, and maybe another one for myself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Risk, 8 Oct. 2003
This review is from: Ultimate Risk (Hardcover)
Not only will this book appeal to people who are specifically interested in the SAS and military affairs but, due to the amount of research obviously done by the author, and the ease with which he describes the events, will also appeal to anyone who wishes an insight into the way the British forces work, both in combat and against the back-drop of international events. The book opens with the catastrophic events of September 11th, and by following one of the most important campaigns that the SAS have carried out in recent years, shows the repercussions that such an act have not only on the British special forces in general but how this affects the lives of the individuals who serve in them.
Highly Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A long time coming, 28 Aug. 2002
Well..it's finally here... a great collection of AA's finest recordings. The record label and band have done a great job picking the tracks.. a nice mix of old classics, new faves and staples from the bands incredible live shows. If you don't have any albums by the band this is a great way to get into them and also a great way to get other people into them!!

Vineland
Vineland
by Thomas Pynchon
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest American author of the 20th century?, 6 Feb. 2002
This review is from: Vineland (Hardcover)
Thomas Pynchon seems to write 2 sorts of books; incredibly complex books that only get more understandable the more you read them (Gravity's Rainbow, V) and simple books that get more complex the number of times you re-read them (The Crying of Lot 49). Vineland is one of the latter. Full to the brim with a host of the usual Pynchon eccentrics we follow the tale of the lovable Zoyd and his daughter's search for her mother. Through this search Pynchon manages to take us on a journey through the American dreams of a generation and how those dreams are reflected in the things that surround us, and portrayed on that most pervasive of cultural icons; the television. Not many books manage to be so rewarding and literate and yet still so hip.
