Toshiba E-CORE 14 Watt (75W Replacement) E27 (Edison Screw) LED Energy Saving Bulb
Toshiba E-CORE 14 Watt (75W Replacement) E27 (Edison Screw) LED Energy Saving Bulb

2.0 out of 5 stars Unlikely to last as long as claimed, 26 Jan. 2016
Bought four of a similar model 3 yrs ago (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004XZJ1JO/ref=pe_217191_31005151_dp_1) and they started failing after 11,000 hours. Emailed Toshiba (not easy to track down) and was told I'd have to post them back to Germany for inspection to make a warranty claim. Was also told "Toshiba Europe has stopped the lighting business from first of October 2015 on". I didn't bother. Don't expect the manufacturers stated lifetime - as the recent Which? investigation found many fall far short of these claims.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good replacement for KY265 9 cell battery., 12 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'd posted feedback mentioning the battery supplied was not the same is in the listing pictures. However I understand from communication with the seller that the KY265 model (with battery check) is discontinued and the model supplied is its replacement.

The battery is otherwise identical to my original 9 cell KY265 and on current estimates is lasting 6hrs from a full charge.

..."Tastes Like Junk Food" says the label. Junk is correct - nothing like bread. Soggy, dense and horrible flavour. Avoid - if you must have bread try the Atkins brand bread mix or some of the recipes (eg http://www.food.com/recipe/best-low-carb-bread-bread-machine-102631?mode=metric&scaleto=1.0&st=null)

Were great until they changed the recipe "New look - Great Taste!". Now has more carbs and less chocolate flavour. More like vanilla, which doesn't go well with the sweeteners. Sickly sweet aftertaste.

I've got 2 boxes left if anyone wants them.

Bought to replace broken Vax beater brush head. It worked well for the first few months but then clogged with hair etc. When disassembled the rotor that powers the brush was full of dust/hair. Cleaned and reassembled but not working.

1.0 out of 5 stars Retina tablet but poor firmware/reliability, 17 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Delivered promptly. My first android tablet (used ipads). As far as I can tell it's a rebranded generic RK3188 based system - there are loads of these out there (Cube, Pipo, Vido, Onda, StealthX, Archos 97 HD, etc, etc). They all have similar screen/CPU specs but with different RAM/Bluetooth/camera/enclosure types. I checked the hardware - ARM A9 cortex RK3188 quad core CPU at 1.6Ghz/Mali 400 GPU.

So - this one has a 2048 X 1536 resolution IPS screen as do all the others, with 2GB user RAM (= about 1GB remaining usable), 2MP front and rear camera, Bluetooth. No 3G/mobile data (haven't seen any that do). The enclosure is plastic but feels solid and well made.

Good points:
- Nice retina display, responsive mostly but can slow down when lots of apps loaded
- microSD slot to expand - they say 32GB but I expect it'll handle higher capacity
- reasonable weight - 620g (same as ipad 2)
- if battery capacity is correct (not sure so far) it should last all day easily with even high use
- Antutu benchmark 17,000-18,000 (around the level of a Nexus 10)
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS (but not the most recent version with multi-users)

Bad points:
- Cameras are both very poor - more like VGA than 2MP - and almost useless in low light. Other RK3188's are reported to be better.
- Sound volume from the speakers is low and not helped by the speakers being on the back
- Comes with firmware identifying it as a RK3066 device and is reported (spoofed build.prop) as a Lenovo s6000, which might limit what you can install from Google Play
- Screen scrolling is jerky/user interface lags at times, probably because firmware is out of date (should be ~60FPS but is usually 20-30)
- Not easy to update/root - Fusion5 won't help and failed to respond to my questions about possible firmware updates
- Some strange Chinese apps pre-installed. If you have to do a factory reset it'll go back to Chinese language/setting.

There are probably better specc'ed/cheaper ones around - mostly coming direct from China though. I'm not too bothered about the camera but wish the sound volume was better. Will probably perform much better with a firmware/OS update - hopefully Fusion5 (F5CS) will oblige in future, but I wouldn't depend on it.

UPDATE June 2015:
It's rubbish. Little support from the company. Spent many hours researching fixes/updates. Battery charge capacity dropped rapidly. Frequently hangs/crashes. Has 2 replacement chargers as they keep breaking (and you can't charge via usb). Eventually died completely - no response even on charge. I would advise against buying tablets like this unless you're prepared to gamble on getting a good one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't work reliably for dual layer video, 23 Aug. 2013

Copied more than a dozen films onto these discs. About half froze - 58-62 mins into the film, probably where the layer change occurs and you can't get past this.

Waste of time!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the previous model, 18 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Replaced a 500 model as the battery was only lasting a couple of days (bought 18 months ago).

Unfortunately it's worse! They've removed the rubbery grips on the side of the 500 which now makes it very slippery to hold. The button is stiff to press (although this might prevent accidental activation when packed). The base is narrower so more difficult to balance. There are a lot more ridges where toothpaste/general mouth grime is accumulating.

I can't perceive much difference in the cleaning action - ie just as good as the 500.

My advice - buy the Oral-B Professional Care 500 instead.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not high capacity!, 28 Nov. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this as it seems impossible to source an original Sony EP500 battery now. Another from Amazon I tried wouldn't fit into my Mini Pro.

Having run it for a month it's Ok but certainly no better than my original battery.

The Battery Monitor app (free) reports the mAh for this battery as between 1310 and 1387. By comparison my original Sony EP500 (1 yr old) reports around 1120 - not a huge difference.

I don't believe the temperature values - it's always 25'C. I suspect the battery isn't reporting it correctly.
