5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down!, 16 Aug. 2011
When a serial killer turns his attention to the lead detective on his heels, the case gets personal, and it's a race against time for Detective Ellie Danson to catch him before he catches her.

This is indeed a fast-paced and gripping read. I couldn't put it down! Creepy, chilling, and a roller-coaster of action!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sad and gripping novella, 16 Aug. 2011
This novella is about the kidnap of a young girl by her Granddad as a sexual slave. It will really make you stop and think, and wonder what goes on behind closed doors. It's gritty, gripping, and will bring a tear to your eye, but I couldn't put it down. A gruesome subject matter, but is handled exceptionally well by the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Want to self-publish? Read this book first!, 21 July 2011
I was honoured to be asked to contribute my self-pubbing experience to this book, so, of course, I'm not going to review that bit because it would be completely unethical, and it goes without saying that my contribution is fab! ;-D

If you want to self-pub, you absolutely have to read this book. When I started out, I didn't have a clue about all the things that an Indie author has to get involved in. It's not just a question of writing a fab book - that's the easy part! The hard bit is what comes next...

I didn't have a clue where to find covers, good editors, how to market effectively and gain lovely readers and fans. PRC, MOBI, Epub sounded more like a scratchy disease than anything to do with e-pubbing. I had to learn it bit by bit and very slowly, but in LET'S GET DIGITAL you get you all the information you need in one place. David's done all the hard work for you!

And the authors who contributed their stories to this book will show you that it really is possible to be a success as an Indie self-pubbing. Their experiences are uplifting and truly inspirational.

So do you want your manuscript sitting in a dusty drawer somewhere, or do you want to live your dream? If so, you need to get a copy of this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fab fun!, 21 July 2011
This was soooo much fun! All the short stories are connected by a thread from a previous story, and it was nice to see how they all intertwined with each other. They can also be read as standalone shorties. These are all sweet romances with fab HEA, and a huge dose of fun thrown in for good measure. Perfect beach reading!

Hallie's life is about to be turned upside down. Forced into being sent to another city for a new job that she doesn't want, she'll also be wrenched away from the guy she's in love with, Bo. The only problem is that Bo doesn't know she feels the same way. Will it be too late for them? And how will Hallie cope without her fab friends for support?

Carpe Bead'em is fun with a capital F. It's sad, funny, inspiring, quirky, and great chick lit! It shows that you never know what's round the corner, and anything's possible if you just take a chance on life! Perfect summer reading.

When Faith's boyfriend leaves her for her best friend, she decides she needs to take drastic action with her life. So she moves to a new city and starts a new job that ends in a journey of self-discovery.

Following my Toes has got a mixture of everything in it - women's fiction, mystery, romance, but above all it's about learning to forgive and get on with our lives following a break-up.

An all-round great read that will keep you wanting more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun chicklit, 21 Jun. 2011

This is only 32,000 words so it's a quick read, but I got into to this story from page one and couldn't put it down. Will and Angelina couldn't be more different - he's a hot-shot business exec, and she's a feng shui consultant - but despite them infuriating each other at times, there's an attraction they can't ignore. Throw in a match-making mum and you're all set to go!

This is a really fun chicklit romance and I will definitely be reading more from Lucy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A sweet romance, 21 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Ain't Love Grand? (Kindle Edition)
When hot-shot lawyer Jason Brooks moves in next door to Perse Jones their worlds are about to turn upside down. They couldn't be more different, Perse is into herbal remedies and nature, Jason is into modern and fast living, and a new hog farm coming to town makes them realize just what different values they have in life. But they can't ignore the attraction between them as Perse slowly becomes a part of Jason's life...

This is a really sweet romance - likeable characters, some great one-liners, engrossing writing, and a fun read.

When Jemma's sister dies in suspicious circumstances it's up to her to find out what happened since the police are satisfied it was a suicide. Moving accross the country into her sister's apartment and life isn't easy, especially when someone wants to make sure she never discovers the truth.

Vicki really is the mistress of plot weaving and suspense. It's a gripping mystery that will constantly keep you wondering who is doing what to whom. A real page-turner that you can't put down. When I pick up one of Vicki's books I know I'm not going to be disappointed!
