This game is fun for a while but quickly becomes tedious. The main 'missions' involve driving after a suspect vehicle and shooting at it until it is disabled. On the plus side, the cityscape is well-enough realised and the driving experience isn't bad. There are opportunities to gain bonuses by using ramps and shooting targets.
In this story the little boy's mother likes everything spotty and his father likes everything stripy. The text is pretty minimal - though entertaining - with just one or two simple sentences per page serving to introduce the marvellous, colourful illustrations. These allow for lots of parent-child interaction and provide a great way of learning about patterns and colours. Another benefit of the book is that it shows young children that people can like different things and still be happy.
This is an excellent book for children from one to five - and beyond. The rhyming story and the colourful artwork appeal to very young children from the start while slightly older children enjoy `reading' along. The story is inventive, with just the right level of repetition and it pulls off the rare feat of being entertaining to the adult reader as well as to their audience.
