4.0 out of 5 stars Nail gun for the DIY enthusiast, 27 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A decent nail gun for the DIY enthusiast, the gun itself is not to heavy, can be held in one hand by any one of reasonable build and strenth.
The cable length is good but could be better; I would have preferred another meter or so.
The Package cones in with an easy to open storage case a reasonably simple instruction manual (though the product is quite intuitive to use), and a number of staples and nails so can be used immediately, though these are not the biggest nails.
I have at the time of writing the review no doubt that the product will last for DIY purposes but think it may not be quite so good for industrial or commercial uses.
Overall a good product well pleased with it for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better suited to a robust vehicle, 26 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Car mats Thick rubber with a huge tread, possiblybetter suited to a more robust vehicle that my Astra.
They have a large tread depth, which if you have high heals may get caught causing some issues.
They are easily cut to shape/trim-able with a sharp Stanley knife, and on the whole so far have been a good (but not great) replacement for my old mats.
Are they worth the money is a different matter they are much better than the cheapest though. You do get what you pay for when it comes to car mats.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price, 3 Nov 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A good set of Headphones, and ideal for my boy who wants to use them to listen to music from his computer. The headphones are comfortable with the foam ear pads locking out external noise quite well.
The lead is a good but not great length for the job.
The sound quality is OK and for use with the compromised MP3 MP4 sound quality they are more than adequate.
There are better headphones on the market for a greater price for the hi Fi buff but these make a good starter set, so much better than a £10 set from a supermarket.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dust my Broom, 3 Nov 2013

Three blues classics in one very cheap set, yes the packaging is minimal and the covers virtually impossible to read due to the print size, but for the price a great start to a Taj Mahal collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars can be used immediately, 3 Nov 2013

Mixed feelings on this, on the plus it is great fun to use, and it can be used immediately no batteries, This is also surprisingly mess free, if used with a modicum of intelligence.
To the minuses the amount of spray time for a full air compressor, is not enough to Finnish a job (unless its a small job), our compressor also seemed to need the tender loving care of an adult to pump, I would not like to see a very young (3 Year old) child pumping the comrpessor.

The results are good and in the right child's hands very good, the product coming with both stencils and paper for immediate use, and yes no battery hunting.
Overall a good product verging on the very good product but not a great product. It is fun though and that is what its all about.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not essential but good fun, 27 Oct 2013

Everything has a time and place and 'The Body' had a time and it was 1970, for this documentary taking the human life from Birth to Death there is some ground breaking film making but all too often this really does not work with what we have seen and can see today.
That is not to say this does not have its merits It is carefully thought out, and planned, and well filmed.
The film transfer is also very well done though it is a bit grainy in places this is as much down to the film used than the transfer. What most attracted me to this though was the fact that the background music formed part of Roger Waters first solo album, this is where it gets interesting, as the original album was not much over thirty minutes long while the film is considerably longer. The sound track then is mainly talking heads style speech, and bodily noises, which is consistent with the original release i.e. its aged a bit. A further complain would be that the soundtrack is Dolby Digital rather that LPCM, the Dolby encoding sucking the top end off the sound and giving it a slightly woolly sound, made even more apparent when you choose the extras (38 minutes of soundtrack, and a slightly different mix of the music from the album of the same name (also available on Amazon)) and get the sound track montage in this horrible Dolby sound rather than CD or even 96/24 DVD quality.

Complaints aside fans of Floyd will probably want this and it is quite an interesting historical artefact. Mixed feelings overall not essential but good fun non the less, I can see this being pulled out to watch more than once or twice.

3.0 out of 5 stars good but not a great, 27 Oct 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The Oral B toothbrush, Looks cool in its limited edition Black colour. The brush needs does however need regular charging and does not seem to hold its charge as long as some other electric brushes we have in the house, though they are more expensive.
We also noted that though the brush indicates the point when you should change the quadrant of your mouth you are brushing it does not stop after two minutes, again against the more expensive bench mark brush.
The brush uses the standard Oral B heads which come in a variety of styles and so is very flexible when It comes to use. On the whole a good product but not a great product.

Review update - rather frustratingly this brush still seems to loose its charge very quickly and has to be recharged evry 2 or 3 days. compared with 7 to 10 days for teh alternative brush we have. both used for teh same time daily to clean teeth.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting concept, 27 Oct 2013
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Interesting concept the water filled Pillow, I was sceptical but having suffered neck and back problems from playing Rugby for a few years now I though lets roll the dices nothing to loose.

I can report that the pillow is actually very comfortable, and nice and cool when you lie down, I have experimented a bit with the water quantities and found that the full four litres of water works best for me. Though I did start with the medium 3 litres advised.

The pillow is easy to fill, and surprisingly it is also washable. It is also recommended that you empty the pillow annually. It is easy to empty and the fill spout provided as a tool to open the bladder is a neat tool.
I can recommend this, and it is certainly quite comfortable, whether it helps solve long term issues only time will tell.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Supreme issue, 27 Oct 2013

If you prefer digital formats over Analogue then this is possibly the best version you are ever going to own of this classic album.
The new High Fi Pure Audio Blu ray release of the album comes with a 96/24 LPCM transfer from the original tapes. The sound is lush and full of air with a tightness to the sound that you just don't get with Vinyl. The bass sounds tight and natural, the drums sound precise and the sax positively sings, Rudy Van Gelder captured the sound of the band very well, and this Blu Ray release brings that all out very well.
The album is of course a Jazz classic and unlike many in the HFPA series this version comes with extra tracks 8 music and one live introduction, these were originally released on the deluxe Double CD of the album released around 2002 all of these appear to be in 96/24 stereo as well and amount to an extra hour and quarter on the original 33 minutes of 'A Love Supreme'. Overall I don't think you will get a better sounding re-issue

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like the Soft Machine or Robert Wyatt then this is essential, 16 Oct 2013

This review is from: 68 (Audio CD)
How does Cuneiform keep doing it releasing high Quality archive music from `The Soft Machine' and ex Band members?
This release is an intimate hour of music with Robert Wyatt, 3 songs which are better known in there `Soft Machine' form but here as pretty complete demos.
The best known historically is the 20 minute `Moon in June' which went on to be a core side on `Third'.
Rivmic Melodies demo is chock full of themes which make up Volume 2 (`Pataphysical Introduction' & `Concise Alphabet' being prominent)
The Kevin Ayers co-write `Chelsa' contains themes carried over from `Soft machine' and features the man himself on bass.
The song that sounds least like a Soft Machine song though `Slow Walkin' Talk' is a gem of a song with a pretty far out Bass line from Jimi Hendrix.

4 Songs just over 50 minutes and not one boring moment, if you like the Soft Machine or Robert Wyatt then this is essential.
