Very useful guide to using maps for research, 2 May 2010
This is a very useful guide for family historians.
It covers the use of maps and map-related surveys from Elizabethan times to more recent ones, with case studies. The maps and photographs are all very nicely reproduced and the text is clear and well-written.
This is NOT just a collection of maps to be used for research, as a previous commenter seemed to infer from the description. It is a guide to using maps in your research and I found it very useful in my own projects.
