Pigs Might Fly: The Inside Story of Pink Floyd
Pigs Might Fly: The Inside Story of Pink Floyd
Price: 4.19

5.0 out of 5 stars Very illuminating and enjoyable, 22 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Coming from the perspective of someone who has not paid much attention to Floyd since Wish You Were Here, and in the past generally avoided Rockographies of any kind (stories of pointless ego clashes and predictable excesses tend to bore me), I have to say i found this really enjoyable. The dynamic with Floyd and Syd Barrett makes the group much more interesting than most, even if you are not these days (like me) the greatest fan of their music. Example of one quote I particularily liked - Roger Waters' insightful and commendably honest comment that without Barrett he would probably have ended up a property developer

2.0 out of 5 stars Fairly dire, young adult level at best, 10 May 2014
This review is from: A Rebel in Time (Kindle Edition)
With plot holes a mile wide and a purely pantomine villain, this is not one of Harrison's better efforts. He once noteably described SF 'a thinking man's garbage', a comment which would not be entirely unapplicable here, though a little harsh.

Finnegan's Week
Finnegan's Week

2.0 out of 5 stars Not one of Wambaugh's best, 10 May 2014
This review is from: Finnegan's Week (Kindle Edition)
As someone who has read virtually all of the author's books I'd have to rate this fairly low down on his list of (general) fictional excellence. The ideas and characters and settings all feel rather tired and less vivid in comparison with his other works,

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreadable, 3 April 2014
Too badly written for the plot to be relevant imho. The author's struggles with sentence construction made me wince. There are an awful lot of bad, cheap books on Kindle ime - especially in genre fiction - and often plenty of underserved five star ratings for them alas.

that it contains the same amount of Mg Threonate - ie 30 adult doses - as the (at time of writing cheaper) 90 capsule variant from same manufacturer.

Not Sweet and fantastic on croissants and scones, with its own distinctive taste. This year I am going to try growing some lingonberries.

1.0 out of 5 stars Uninspired Lemon Spread with a distinct chemical aftertaste, 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The only positive thing I can think to say about it is the lemons used do seem to have been fairly fresh and this cmes across in the taste.

Fiordifrutta Organic Sicilian Citrus Fruit with Bergamot Pure Fruit Spread 260 g (Pack of 3)
Fiordifrutta Organic Sicilian Citrus Fruit with Bergamot Pure Fruit Spread 260 g (Pack of 3)

1.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre three fruit spread., 3 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The bergamot is a nice touch but the underlying spread/marmalade feels too subdued and lacks the zest of even Tesco or Sainsbury's three fruit equivalent at 1.30 a jar.

1.0 out of 5 stars Total rubbish, 26 Dec 2013
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
As the other reviewer said it will only work on tiles or similar not carpets, and even on smooth surfaces it is not powerful enough to reverse or turn, only to go forward.

Meridian Director DAC
Meridian Director DAC

3.0 out of 5 stars A good DAC but check out the irDAC as well, 27 Nov 2013
I have both of these at home at the moment and although the irDAC isn't properly run in yet and is as ugly as a 1990's ADSL modem in comparison to the Meridian (and much heavier), it is coming across as significantly more exciting to listen to (via Electrostatic Speakers), something that shows up clearly even via a toslink TV feed. This is despite the Director having the edge in certain areas such as string tone. The irDAC also offers more functionality and a lower price, but does not seem to be available by mail order.

What Hifi Review of the Director
