5.0 out of 5 stars What a beauty., 27 Feb 2004
Just like Wayne Dempsey's previously-published book "101 Projects for your Porsche 911", this one is again a very pretty publication, made by a 911-lover for all other 911-lovers (of 1965-89 cars). Excellent colour photos, very well-structured layout, and very comprehensive and honest text. A recommendation to everyone who owns a 911 and gets underneath it every once and a while.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a disappointment, 27 Feb 2004
When I opened the plastic wrapper of this book, I couldn't believe my eyes. What a rip-off! Poorly structured chapters, badly edited text and poor-quality black&white photos! Some photos are printed so badly, that one can hardly see what's on the photo. That doesn't help the potential car restorer a lot...
Luckily I also bought Wayne Dempsey's fabulous "101 Projects for your Porsche 911" and "How to rebuild & maintain Porsche 911 Engines". While amazingly in the same price range as the Haynes book, Dempsey's books are real jewels, with excellent colour photos, nicely laid-out chapter structure and very comprehensive text. Stay clear of the Haynes book, put your money in the Dempsey books.
