Mac OS X 10.6.3 Update, 7 April 2010
My CD did not even load with Mac OS X 10.5 or Mac OS X 10.6.3 both on different MacBook Pro laptops. These were both clean first installs.
The fixes online all needed a version of ScanSnap already in place, which I did not have.
Fujitsu support in Germany sent me a link which installs ScanSnap Only and the scanner is now working correctly, although saving files to a folder throws up error messages which go off to Apple.
I downloaded ABBYY FineReaer for Scan Snap from the Fujitsu site but not got Cardiris 3.6 yet.
So, in summary its now works and I'm sure the installation CD will be updated soon (My scanner was manufactured in May 2009).
