5.0 out of 5 stars Looks Good, Serves its Purpose Well and is Realistically Priced, 6 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is both cost-effective and stylish and has ample space to store documents of different types within the three compartments.

Personally I use it to carry my motor vehicle documentation and any additional essential paraphernalia required on a trip.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worked Well To Begin With, But Did Not Stand the Test of Time, 11 Jun. 2014
Myself and my family were very pleased with this kettle to begin with. It boiled quickly and the illuminating blue light offered a useful indication as to when the water had boiled.

At first we found that it was rather slow to pour, when compared with our previous kettle, but once we got used to it, it became less of a problem.

The minimum capacity is for two cups, but a one cup setting would have been helpful, especially for the eco minded or for someone living on their own, who might require only one cup at a time.

Overall I initially rated this as a great kettle at a realistic price. However ten months on, the lid has become detached after a period of sticking when the button was pressed.

My previous kettles of different types and makes have lasted two years plus, so I would have expected to have achieved a working life of at least one year, especially out of a kettle by such a well respected manufacturer.

When I look back at reviews by others, the lid mechanism does seem to represent a recurring problem.

Consequently I am certain that if the manufacturers address this aspect with a more sturdy alternative, then it will ultimately prove its true worth as a viable product.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fascinating Read on an Interesting Subject, Which Is Intelligently Explored., 29 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Personally I found this book most interesting and consequently found it hard to put down once started.

It delves into a difficult, but interesting subject, on the basis of the author's personal experiences and those shared by others, who have participated in, or been witness to, near death experiences or interactions with departing or departed loved ones.

The research is a valuable component, as it endeavours to relate the extent of known fact (which has its limitations) to common factors arising out of the personal accounts.

Consequently I would heartily recommend this book to those with a fascination for this intriguing subject matter.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Generously Sized Mouse Pad, Which Grips the Desk Well and Facilitates Fluid Mouse Movement, 19 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This mouse mat is very thin, almost membrane-like, which is actually an advantage over mouse mats which have too much cushioning and can therefore prove detrimental to mouse control.

The surface is very smooth indeed and yet feels hard-wearing, with an underside that allows the mat to grip securely.

Having purchased this mat together with an Anker® 8200 DPI High Precision Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse for PC, 9 Programmable Buttons, Weight Tuning Cartridges, Omron Micro, I find that both mat and mouse act as if they were made for one another; the mouse gliding effortlessly across the surface of the mouse pad.

I notice that some Amazon reviewers of this product have mentioned that the graphic and logo at the bottom right and left of the mat can easily be worn away, as a consequence of repeated abrasion from the mouse or the user's wrist. In my case, the anchor logo began to wear away after several weeks of use. However as it is only a transfer, I was easily able to scratch the remainder of the logo off and it did not leave a blemish on the mat.( I shall repeat this process with the "Anker" label, when the same thing happens to that.)

To sum up, I find this to be a perfect mouse mat, which more than adequately serves my purposes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seems To Create More Problems Than It Resolves On My Kindle Fire HD, 24 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having run this app for several days on two separate Kindle Fire HDs, in an attempt to maximize battery efficiency, both devices were beset with similar problems, within only a few days of installation.

When initiating the Kindles, the screens were both completely frozen and a reboot (not a complete factory reset) was the only means of enabling them to operate. Prior to this, I had also noticed that the batteries had drained far faster than usual.

Once the app had been removed, the problems were eliminated.

Consequently, I could not recommend this app for use with the Kindle Fire HD, although I do not have any experience of having used it on other devices, so perhaps it may well work more appropriately in other contexts.

As this was a free app at the time of purchase, I cannot complain about the price, but would suggest that those considering paying for the app check out its level of efficiency, with those who have used it, in relation to their particular device.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stunning Display Item, Which Enhances Dining Settings, 12 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having purchased nine of these small black and gold mosaic balls for display in a black and gold bowl on the dining-table, they add a stylish enhancement, with the balls being of an adequate size, without being too small or over dominant.

Candle-light or alternative table-lighting also adds reflective highlights from the mosaic balls, adding to their visual appeal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish and Reasonably Priced Dust Caps, 12 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These are well-made dust caps, with the Kia logo adding an additional vibe to my Kia's alloy wheels.

They were very reasonably priced and are an improvement on the black plastic caps, which came as standard on my Kia's tyres.

Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy To Use and With a Large, Clear Display, 10 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having required a reasonably high calibre digital tyre pressure gauge, I chose this Michelin one, as I had read good reports about it both in relation to Amazon Reviews and in technical publications, which have referred to an accuracy level of within approximately 1 psi.

As the built-in tyre pressure gauge in my tyre inflator is prone to somewhat inconsistent results, the Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge offers me peace of mind in ensuring that the pressures are accurate.

The gauge attaches easily to my vehicle tyres, which are new and on 17-inch wheels and provides clear results, which settle quickly into stable digits.

Overall this particular tyre pressure gauge is not cheap, but I personally find its its robustness, build quality, consistency of results and reliability (from my own experiences so far) to make it an appropriate purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Replacement Gas Meter Box Latch, Which Is Quick and Easy To Fit, 9 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Prior to having purchased this replacement latch for my gas meter box door, I bought one from another vendor. However it did not result in a sufficiently tight fit, as it had not included a wavy washer with the latch.

This one did include a wavy washer, which made all the difference in establishing a tight fit, with no evidence of rattling.

Michelin Hi-Power Tyre Inflator and Detachable Digital Gauge
Michelin Hi-Power Tyre Inflator and Detachable Digital Gauge
Price: £30.39

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Tyre Inflator, but the Detachable Digital Gauge is a Bit of a Let Down, 8 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having owned a Michelin Tyre Inflator for approximately five years and having found it to be reliable, I chose to upgrade to this model, as the detachable digital gauge offered useful additional possibilities.

However on receipt of the order, the batteries in the detachable gauge were dead. I replaced them with some new ones, but the readings were inconsistent and could not be trusted, although to be fair, more accurate readings were in evidence once the tyre inflator had been connected to the tyre and been powered via the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.

Bearing in mind my above uncertain experiences with the detachable digital gauge, I decided to purchase an alternative one and consequently chose the Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge. It was rated highly in Amazon reviews and in trade publications, with an accuracy level of within approximately 1 psi and although quite expensive, I find that it serves its purposes well.

The Michelin Hi-Power Tyre Inflator is sturdy and robust, sufficiently weighty to prevent it jumping around when inflating and compact enough to facilitate easy in-car storage. The screw-on tyre valve connection is a vast improvement on the push-on type, which was a feature of my earlier Michelin Tyre Inflator.

Inflation proved to be speedy and once the correct pressure had been achieved, I, personally, found that it was important to make some allowance for air loss during the process of disconnecting from the tyre and found that this was largely dependent upon trial and error during the first few attempts, but the consequent air loss became relatively consistent, with practice. (When matching the readings on my Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge with those on the Michelin Tyre Inflator Gauge, I found that an additional 2.5 psi above the required psi on the Inflator Gauge before removal of the tyre valve connection screw, would result in an approximately accurate reading (of the required psi) on the Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge once the connection had been removed. It is important to remember though that speed at which the connection screw is removed has an important bearing on this result and I did not unduly rush this process.)

Overall this ought to be a five star product, although I am obliged to give it four, as I do not believe that the inadequacy of the batteries for the removable Digital Pressure Gauge at the point of purchase are what one would expect from the Michelin brand name, with an otherwise professional product of this type. The fact that others have mentioned this in their reviews also suggests that quality control mechanisms have not sufficiently been applied to this product. (However it is important to note that when I purchased the Michelin Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge due to problems encountered with the detachable one contained with this inflator, it had pull-out tabs for the purchaser to initiate the batteries. This would so easily have resolved the problems encountered by myself had this proved to be the case with the Tyre Inflator's Detachable Digital Gauge.)
