4.0 out of 5 stars Does a good job - but buy batteries, 24 May 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Does a great job - a little painful apparently, but pulling hairs out by the roots is probably always going to be. Does a far better job than the old one it replaced. Well packaged and easy to handle. Power source could be mains - but not essential.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job well - fits the bed nicely and feels good to lie upon., 24 May 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Excellent, fits well and feels good. Can't say I'm crazy about the colour - but well, you hardly see that on a made bed so it's not of huge importance. Feels touch and durable, but ask me in a couple of years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Their Original Hits Bread and Butter and Run Baby Run - plus many more...., 24 May 2015
The Newbeat's Motown-like hit from 1965 Run Baby Run was what I was looking for - to replace an old 45. After a depressing time looking through various other products and finding that sooooo many of them contained later inferior re-recordings of the song, I found this CD. This contains the original - and indeed also the original hit recording of "Bread and Butter" (Of which I also have an original bashed about single). I imagine that all the other tracks are from the correct era too, but I have no way to verify those - but just from the artwork you can tell that some work has gone into this one, it's not a clip art cash-in shovelware thing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Yet more re-recordings of the original hits you hoped you were buying...., 24 May 2015
A shovelware mixture of original tracks and re-recordings. Dizzy and Spooky are re-recordings, Run Baby Run is the original. I haven't analysed the others - no point, I don't buy dishonest products.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Newbeats track is NOT the original hit - and as for the rest.....you decide., 24 May 2015
Don't know about the others, but the Newbeats track is definitely not the original hit - it's a re-recording. Pretty likely the rest will be too. Buyer beware if you are looking for the original hits and not cheesey cash-in later re-recordings.

These are not the original hits - they are re-recordings. Anyone looking to buy the original hits should avoid this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars A nice collection, but NOT all original hits, packaging badly lets it down, very variable sound quality., 2 May 2015
This review is from: Vintage Cheese! (Audio CD)
I don't own a copy of this box-set, but I have heard it all through. Generally - for a shovelware exercise - it's not bad, but if you are a serious music collector you should know that:

1) The quality is a bit variable. Some tracks are from digital remasters. Some have clearly been digitised from iffy copies of the records (with, yes digital clean-up to get rid of clicks and pops) and when you listen to it loud, the quality contrasts are very very obvious.

2) As has been observed here, a few of the tracks are re-recordings - not the original hits. Only a few, but not very good remakes, but enough to make you pull a face. Leapy Lee's "Little Arrows" is one such as I remember.

3) Whoever did the packaging must have thought about it for - oh, I don't know, 10-15 seconds? About 25% of the tracks on this were hits in the mid-late 1960s and the sequencing of the songs would make any DJ despair - which, given that the packaging is trying sell it as a party product actually does matter. .

So, if all you''re looking for is a 60s/70s nostalgia wallow and then come right in, you'll have a good time. If you're a hardcore fan or collector of music of this (these) decades there's nothing on here that's not available elsewhere in better quality/more intelligent packaging/original hit recordings - so I'd advise to look elsewhere.

Oral B Vitality Plus Floss Action Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush
Oral B Vitality Plus Floss Action Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush
Price: £19.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent brush - like the floss action., 29 April 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
There was a time - years ago - when people scoffed at electric toothbrushes as being for the lazy or the incompetent. But I well remember the transformation in my own dental hygiene when I moved from the old manual brush to the new electric toothbrush. Standing scrubbing away with a traditional brush you just don't get the feeling of cleanliness that you get from an electric toothbrush. It's obvious when you think about it, an electric brush can pass the brush over your tooth and gum areas far faster than you can manually, so in a comparable time you get far more coverage and consequently your teeth feel cleaner.

Ever since we got electric toothbrushes we've had Oral B products. My only real problem with them is always the battery life - the recharge intervals get less and less fairly soon into usage. Too soon to say if this one will suffer similarly, but in every other respect this one is as good as its predecessors AND it has this floss action that mimics flossing between your teeth. Highly recommended.
