This is everything broken sword should be.

It washes away the dreadful taste left behind by number 4 and returns to its more charming and story driven routes.
I loved everything about it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only let down by its packaging, 21 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is perfect . . it is a large, comfortable mouse mat. It looks great.
The only thing it has going against it was the way it was rolled up and cable tied for transport.
It means the mat is left not being entirely flat and with 2 bumps where the cable tie has bitten into the material.

Shame, as for the money it is incredible value.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok. ., 4 Jan 2013
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
So, I take on board all the negative comments made about this being a re-skinning of fifa soccer for ps vita. I havent played it so will have to take that at face value and review the game based entirely on what it offers to me as a vita new comer.

It looks great, the gfx are ps3 comparable, looking great in single player standard matches. I will say that they take a massive hit when it comes to be a pro and playing online. But you have to expect this.

The controls are good, I find precision movement to be a bit off with the dual sticks on the vita. The touch screen passing is good, but not incredibly accurate if you are trying to play a killer ball through a defense.
The touch pad on the back is used in a unique way- with it essentially being a representation of the goal, being able to tap it to place the ball into corners etc. It works great, but can be an utter pain when you accidentally touch it when you are close to goal (and this is all too easy to do)
This can be turned off though, so that isn't too bad.

Game play, do not expect fifa 13 console standards. It isnt. The man marking is more reminiscent of fifa 10, holding x to track someone down and barge them off the ball. It is just as annoying on this as it was on the consoles. The touch and control of the console fifa 13 counterpart is very obviously missing as well, if you have been playing 13 for any length of time- expect to be frustrated by this game when it doesn't react quite as you had hoped.

Overall, a great little game that will quench the thirst of your hardcore football fans - just do not expect a full console outing. It still manages to suck you in to footballs world, with all the thrills and spills of a tense 90 minutes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at all!, 14 Oct 2012
A lot of hate for this film in the lower end of the stars spectrum seems to be based entirely on the fact Kristen Stewart is in the film. And as it is super important that nobody is seen to like anything even closely linked to twilight.

I dislike twilight as much as the next adult who doesn't really get the appeal of a hundred+ year old vampire seducing a teenage school girl! But I think it is important to realise that this is not Kristen Stewarts fault and shouldn't be the sole point on which all her future work is judged.
(note, this is not to dismiss every review down in the 1 and 2 stars, some have some really valid points- just the ones that clearly went into the film decided that she is Bella and thus must be slammed)

So the film, I really enjoyed it. The acting is solid for the most, although not sure why Chris Hemworth went with the Scottish accent? He does a fairly good job with it, but it does slip every now and then.
Kristen Stewart is a good snow white, she has a great look for that pure and innocent feel the film needed. She also did a pretty good job with her accent and saved what could have been a fairly forgettable part with a great delivery of a rousing speech towards the back end of the movie.
The stand out performances for me were Charlize Theron and Sam Spruell, who put in excellent turns as the Wicked Queen and her brother.

I do think it was a little long and drawn out in places, with appearances by characters from the tale that felt shoehorned in. But A very enjoyable film, and one that maybe is taking a little more flack than it deserves in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars How?, 5 Jan 2012
How does this show only get 3 seasons? amazing. It was just reaching a good point where the script writers and producers had nailed down the formula and were hitting stride.

Season 3 was really quite good. And the fact its the last is sad, because the ending will now never lead to anything.

Undisputed: How to Become World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps
Undisputed: How to Become World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps
by Chris Jericho
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 2 Jan 2012
A really good wrestling autobiography is a hard thing to come by. Few have done it before and I am sure not many will do it in the future, but this book happily (along with its brother, A lions tale) fits in to the "really good" section.

Covering what the attitude era fans of jericho would be looking to read about, his entrance into the wwe and his return. It also has some great chapters on fozzy and a particularly touching and thoughtful chapter on his friend Chris Benoit, and his thoughts on the tragedy.

It isnt without fault mind you, a lot of his greatest moments and matches getting little more than lip service. I wonder if it would not have been better to cover a smaller period of time and go into greater detail about his iconic rise to becoming the undisputed champion. And then maybe follow on from there in book 3. (which I hope is in the works)

Just my opinion mind you, and it doesnt stop this book from being incredle in its insight into A determined and talented mans rise to fame in an industry which famously chews up the weak and punishes those who dont dedicate their life to it. Happy to have it in my collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mindless entertainment, 24 Aug 2011
Not the greatest film you are ever going to watch, but certainly not the worst either.

It really is just a mindless bit of entertainment. And I don't say that to cast any negativity over it. It is incredibly well made and shot, it looks amazing.

Having said that, the script is pretty cheesy, and it does become bogged down in melodrama in places.
Overall, I would suggest a rental or waiting for this to drop a few pounds.

2.0 out of 5 stars press x to complete, 29 July 2011
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: L.A. Noire (PS3) (Video Game)
A poor game by any standard, but when you have rockstar pasted all over it (although not developed by) you really expect more.

The gameplay boils down to walking around waiting for the controller to rumble so you can press x and inspect some evidence. That and driving, which thankfully can be skipped, but just raises more questions as to why they bothered with it at all.

It looks superb, but the city is dead and uninteractive, so its a waste of time looking at anything.
The facial animation is great, but it again comes down to ''shifty eyes=lying''. It fails to be subtle in anyway.

The cases pretty much solve them selves, you can spend the best part of 2 hours questioning and investigating, just for all the evidence you need to fall happily in to your lap.

Did not enjoy this game at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars boring, 25 July 2011
I am not sure where the above reviews came from, but the way they are worded makes me think Sammy may have found a keyboard.

I watched this film with 4 young family members (ages ranging from 2-10) and I was bored after about 30 minutes. I thought maybe it was just meant for kids, but no, they were as bored as I was.

The eco friendly message is nice, but it is forced down your throat with such melodrama. It is poorly paced and scripted, and really starts to drag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Could be a classic!, 28 Feb 2011
This review is from: The Other Guys [DVD] [2011] (DVD)
I loved every moment of this film. It is a comedy classic in the waiting.

it plays perfectly between being a standard comedy and an all out spoof!
Chemistry is everything, and Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg have it in bucket loads. they play off of each other so well, it would be a real shame if they didn't take advantage of it in future films.
It also marks a real return to form for ferrel, who nails every line in this movie.

The semi-cameos at the opening of the film with Samuel L Jackson and Dwayne "the rock" Johnson were fantastic, with Jackson in particular playing up the cop image amazingly.

Rented this movie, but its a must have for the collection so will be buying this at a later date.
