Bugzz Kids Stuff Childrens Watches (Frog)
Bugzz Kids Stuff Childrens Watches (Frog)

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely little watch that has survived 6 months of kids-wear, 30 Dec. 2010
My 4 year old son loves this watch, and indeed it does look great, plus it has survived being, dropped, shaken and trodden on, so it is pretty tough!

Bob and Larry's Silly Slides (Big Idea Books)
Bob and Larry's Silly Slides (Big Idea Books)
by Cindy Kenney
Edition: Board book
Price: £4.50

4.0 out of 5 stars Clever idea, but a bit tricky for young kid to work, 30 Dec. 2010
A clever book where there is a pull out section for each page where the image colours itself in. However the pull outs can get stuck quite easily when you try to push them back in. My four year old son gave up trying to work them.

Toy Story 2 3 Jessie The Cow Girl Doll Soft Toy Firm Beanie Body 39 cm 16"
Toy Story 2 3 Jessie The Cow Girl Doll Soft Toy Firm Beanie Body 39 cm 16"

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks poorly made, 30 Dec. 2010
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
What more can I say, it just doesn't look worth the money when you get it. However my niece still liked it as an xmas present, as she is a bit Toy Story fan.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mum likes it, son hates it!, 30 Dec. 2010
This review is from: Typing Tournament (PC CD) (CD-ROM)
Bought this for my 9 year old son, who has problems writing and needs to learn to type quickly to keep up at school. After a couple of goes he refused to use it as he didn't like being chased by a dragon if he couldn't type fast enough! However, I thought the whole set up was really good, with stages and quests, games and clear graphics to help with finger placement. My son now prefers BBC Dancemat which is excellent and free.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Usborne Puzzle books, 30 Dec. 2010
This review is from: Crazy-Mazey Houses (Paperback)
Bought this for my son who likes mazes, but found that the illustrations were similar but not as good as the Usborne Puzzle range of books,Puzzle Castle (Usborne Young Puzzles)Puzzle Train (Young Puzzles)etc, which are clearer, more detailed and engaging.

Fast Track Race in a Case
Fast Track Race in a Case

3.0 out of 5 stars Dodgy plastic track in a case, 30 Dec. 2010
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fast Track Race in a Case (Toy)
I bought this because I thought, being in a case, my son wouldn't lose all the bits, but he already has lost some bits as the parts are loose in the case and the case doesn't close properly. The track does work, but it doesn't seem to fit properly in the case when it is assembled, (as the picture suggests) and it feels cheap and plasticy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks and feels cheap, 30 Dec. 2010
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This was recommended by my son's occupational therapist to help with his hand/eye coordination. I guess it is good in this respect as you do need skill and concentration to balance the penguins on the iceberg. But the iceberg is made of flimsy plastic, and you have to assemble the penguins before use, which is a fiddle, plus they don't all fit together as neatly as you should expect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Made me laugh like a naughty schoolgirl!, 14 Sept. 2009
This review is from: Ex-Seeker (Paperback)
Marc John blows a wholehearted raspberry at establishment spiritualism, which is deliberately intended to offend. Personally, I found it highly amusing, but then I am a big kid at heart.

He attempts to knock down the teetering towers of those trying to ascend to enlightenment with the subtlety of a bulldozer.

What is left in the ruins? A rather bruised ego if it was a big tower, and a reminder to follow what we love.
