5.0 out of 5 stars Great summer read, 11 Jun 2014
This review is from: Here for the Cake (Kindle Edition)
This was an amazingly good book! Mina gets invited to her ex boyfriends wedding (not the best wedding invite to ever receive). Whats more is that he is getting married to one of her old school friends. I don't want to give too much away so please take my advice and read this book :-). Great summer read for sitting round a pool or at the beach. Definitely 5 stars from me.

A warrior angel is taken from his duties and sent to earth to look after a human girl. Along the way Malchadiel and Amy find out truths that neither of them knew, and a beautiful romance begins.

This is a short story by Maureen Turner and i have to say wow, what an amazing story it is. I still love how this author engages the readers so perfectly, and the way the story is written is brilliant. I can not wait to read more from this author!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic paranormal ya, 22 Oct 2013
Brandi Vine is only a teenager , but she has experienced too much already in her short time. Grieving everyday, she mourns her sister who drowned a year ago after swimming in the ocean at night when the waters were too cold. Brandi is invited to a party at a warehouse, but things go terribly wrong. Abandoned and alone Brandi is not expecting the help of a mysterious stranger who saves her friend and then disappears in to the depths of the ocean. The swimmer, Brandi calls him, turns her life upside down as they are drawn to each other, but at what cost?

Well...without being too cliché or sounding like a broken record but wow! Yep this is another wow book, i loved it. I read it in near enough one day because i wanted to know what was going to happen. I would highly recommend this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars A love story with a magical twist, 22 Oct 2013
This review is from: Delusional (Kindle Edition)
Patricia is looking for love but does not expect to find it in her work colleague who is married. At the same time mysterious robberies are taking place all over the world, a woman appears to steal a diamond and then disappears in a poof of smoke, as seen on CCTV. Patricia and Paul begin an affair as they solace in each others arms, though strange things start to happen to Patricia. Things start to move in her flat, pictures on her walls change, leading Patricia to believe that she is going crazy. As the story unfolds people believe what is happening to Patricia, but can they stop the person who is doing it?

I really enjoyed this story, it had a great mix of romance, love and supernatural elements all in one. With a well thought out plot line, and expertly written characters, the whole book was a joy to read.

Scorpion Soup: A story in a story
Scorpion Soup: A story in a story
Price: 1.12

4.0 out of 5 stars An intriguing story within a story, 22 Oct 2013
The story begins with a man who has been captured by pirates. The captives are not allowed to talk otherwise they will have their heads dismembered. One of the neighbouring slaves whispers to another "I want to tell you a story..." And from there begins a story that leads to another and another. Each tale intermingles with the last making it a well thought out book. It's a great short read with twists and turns around every corner, making the author a very talented writer. A world away from Eye Spy but still a great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Move over Harry Potter/Lord of the rings, 23 Sep 2013
I absolutely loved this book! I was picturing it as a film the whole way through and i know that this book can and will go very far. This book has everything that any fantasy reader will love, including elves and a sprite to name just a couple. I do not usually read fantasy but thought i would give it a go and i don't regret it one bit. The storyline had me hooked from the get go and i love Lynette's magical way with words. She is such a talented author and i can't wait to read more books from her.

FANTASYLAND

5.0 out of 5 stars A fine romance, 23 Sep 2013
This review is from: FANTASYLAND (Kindle Edition)
Fantasy land follows the story of Sandi, who from the age of eleven has a crush on a teenage pop idol. Being brought up by her widowed father, his death leaves her heart broken and grieving. Sandi follows her dream to go to Uni in L.A. where she meets Paul and they hit it off and have a whirl wind romance. But Paul isn't who he seems to be...

Fantasy Land is the second Novel from DJ Starling, and i have to say it's amazing. The whole book is based on song lyrics and this really adds to the story. The characters are great and draw you into to the book with them. Again another amazingly written Romance by DJ Starling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow - Utterly brilliant!, 16 Sep 2013
Do Androids dream is the amazing SCI-fi romantic story that starts at a factory where they are creating androids. The technician, who is always cautious and careful, pricks his finger on the circuitry of the android he is assembling. Before he can inform his superiors of the incident and contamination, he is hit by a vehicle and killed. Sometime later the android, named Nick, is taken from the factory by the inventors chief assistant, Robert. Sarah, Roberts wife, takes on the mammoth task of trying to teach Nick to speak as he is the prototype. But could the blood that is in Nick's circuitry be doing more than just contaminating him?

WOW, loved this book! Good all round story, beautifully written, gripping and I couldn't put it down! I would like to find a Nick PLEASE! The book is only around 60k words long so can be read quickly, if like me you can't put it down. All SCI-FI readers who love a good romantic side mixed in, this is a must read!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A gruesome book that will keep you hooked, 13 Sep 2013
This review is from: Eye Spy (Kindle Edition)
Amadeus Kaine is an eye surgeon, one of the best. He enjoys trying out new foods and has a few friends that he does this with. He gets called to go to a different country to operate and while he is there experiences the most delicious thing he has ever tasted. When he finally asks what was in them he finds out that it was human eyes. He could not believe it but as they were so fabulous he has to get his hands on some more. He's just got to work out how.

If I'm totally honest i would not usually read a book like this, but i am definitely glad i did. This is a gruesome book that manages to keep you hooked. I really couldn't put it down! The author has such a way with words that keeps you engrossed and on tenterhooks to see what happens next. I could definitely see it as a film.
